I was feeling a million butterflies in my stomach. Butterflies of anxiety. Because it was the season of first tests.

And the first subject was biology. Great.(note the sarcasm).

And to add on to my anxiety, I didn't know which room I was seated in. The seating arrangements were so different that year.

I had to be in school at least half an hour early so that I could find my room.

"Are you done yet, Carmen? You still haven't had your breakfast!" My mom said, seeing me glancing at my notes furiously on the couch.

"One second mom!"

"You've been telling that from past one hour, Honeybunch! And you said that you wanted to be early to school! I can't drop you off if you're gonna be late! I can't drive with all the tension!" My mom said.

I groaned and closed my notebook. I sat at the dining table, in front of my mom.

"Como es tu preparacion?(How's your preparation?)"

"Bueno? Malo? No lo se!(Good? Bad? I don't know!)" I yelled in frustration.

"Calm down, Carmen. You'll do fine. Its just your first tests. And don't get tensed. Breathe properly before you write. Okay? Good luck, Honeybunch!"

"Thanks a lot, Ma. I needed it." I said.

"You want me to pick you up after your tests?"

"Um...its okay mom. I'll walk back home. I'll be needing some fresh air after writing a paper like biology. Besides, it's not gonna take more than twenty minutes."

The seating arrangements were put up on the notice board. Students were crowded near the notice board. I was so annoyed and I let out a loud groan and pulled away from the crowd.

"What is your roll number?" A voice asked.

I turned around to face a girl, taller than me, with a very pretty smile. Her figure was perfect. Her features looked like it was sculpted. She was perfect to become a model. Her face had minimum to no make up, with only a thin line of eyeliner to highlight her big dark twinkling eyes. Her long eyelashes brought out her eyeliner and she was so so so pretty.

I smiled at her and said, "Six. My roll number is six. What about you?"

"Ah! My roll number is five. So we're in the same room!" She said, feeling happy.

"And you are?" I asked.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Cara. Cara Jones. And you are?"

"Hello Cara. I'm Carmen. Carmen Rey. We're in the same class and now we're speaking to each other. My bad. I don't really know anyone in our class."

"Don't worry, Carmen. I don't speak much to people either. I'm finally relieved that I found someone compatible like you." She said, causing me to smile wide.

"I'm already liking you! I wish I had spoken to you earlier." I said.

"Haha! Me too! Don't worry. You're not late."

"Yeah. I'm happy. Can we go to our allotted room?" I said.

She nodded and we soon reached the room. We went and sat in our respective seats. We still had twenty minutes for our test to start and not many students had filled in.

Our seats were in front of each other, of course. Cara was sitting in front of me.

"So....where do you live?" She asked me, turning around to face me.
