Daisy's P.O.V.

We sat awkwardly at the dinner table, not really any words said between us.

I was glad there was nothing said, but I'm sure the princess over there would ruin it.

"So," She started. I rolled my eyes. Jaeden looked at me and giggled a bit. I smiled. "I'm surprised you let Daisy and Jack stay here all day, alone. Assuming you were at work." She finished.

Shit, I didn't tell her about Jack and me or really anything.

"Well, I trust my daughter, she knows that." My mother looked at me with her eyebrows raised.

I looked around the room, avoiding her eye contact.

"And what do you think about her and Jack?" She pushed.

My stomach clenched. I felt nervous, sick to my stomach.

"What do you mean?" My mother asked, keeping eye contact with Ali.

I looked around at the rest of the table, everyone with uncomfortable looks, Chosen with a panicked face looking at Jack, Ali confident, and looking at my mother.

Jaeden was looking down, bothered by her comments. I would be too, she is making a fool of herself while trying to take me down. And he is dating the fool.

"Well, I'm sure Daisy has told you how they have gotten together, right?" She pushed even further.

"Of course." She smiled at me. "I love them together, such a cute pair." She finished before taking a bite.

I let out the breath I didn't even know I was holding.

Ali's princess smile dropped. She looked frustrated, her eyebrows perching.

"I have to go." She grabbed her backpack, flung it around her shoulder, and stormed out.

"Have a nice day!" My mom yelled before she left the house.

I don't know what came over me, but I started laughing, a lot. Uncontrollably, I laughed to myself. I, well my mom successfully won this battle. I couldn't be happier.

Jack and my mom started laughing with me. The tension in the room from before dropped to zero, I felt relieved.

The other boys just smiled and laughed along too.

We all sat there for a while, just laughing.

When it died down, my mom spoke, "Good riddance." I think we could all agree with that.

The rest of the night was very pleasurable, I actually ate more than I thought I would, I didn't even think about throwing up. Probably because I was distracted with all the jokes and laughter. I felt happy, and that's a lot coming from me.

My mother and I finished cleaning the dishes, drying our hands as I put up the last dish.

"So, why didn't you tell me all this?" She started. I knew this conversation was coming.

"Specify what you mean on 'all this'," I asked. I mean she could be talking about Ali, or Jack, or hell even Jaeden. But she isn't stupid, she knows something is up.

"Where do I start! Jack! I didn't know you were dating him. If anything I thought you had something with that Jaeden boy." She explained. I blushed a little at her last statement.

"Come sit," I motioned to the couch, "There will be a lot of explaining."

I decided I would tell my mom.

She sat down next to me on the couch. I explained to her everything, about how Jaeden and I kissed, how I stole both of her 'guys', how she threatened me, the plan with Jack, everything. But not the blackmailing part.

"How could you not tell me mija!" She said surprised.

"I don't know, I didn't want you to get worried and make us move or something, I really like it here..." I trailed off.

"Mija, if you want to stay, then we will stay, if you want to move then we will go, but I always want you to feel safe. I never want you to feel like you have to hide anything from me. I just want what's best for you. You have been through hell and back, you deserve to be happy." She finished. I sighed, I really did love my mom.

"Thanks, mom. But I don't know what to do about Ali." I lied. I just wanted to see what she would do about it.

"Well, as a parent I should go to her parents with this, but I've never really been good at parenting. So I say, fight fire with fire." She informed me. "I've dealt with plenty of Ali's in the past, and it doesn't matter what you do, they won't stop. Unless you catch them in their own trap. If you really want this boy-"

"I'm not gonna do it for the boy." I interrupted. "Just to keep my past in the past."

"Is that what you think?" She looked at me with her eyebrows raised. I rolled my eyes, looking down at my hands. "Whatever, just try not to hurt anyone."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"That boy, Jack. Don't hurt him when you are trying to save yourself." She commented.

"Why would I hurt him?" I asked confused.

"Because he obviously likes you. No boy just volunteers to be a girls boyfriend." I looked at her in awe.

Ya right. He doesn't like me.

I mean she's got a point.

No, she doesn't. Jack doesn't like me.

Whatever you need to tell yourself.

Shut up.

"You're lying," I stated. "Jack does not like me. And technically he didn't volunteer, they both had an equal chance at being my fake boyfriend."

She got up. "Whatever you say. But trust me, the way both boys were looking at you, Jaeden and him, they both don't like you as friends." She responded.

I rolled my eyes. I'm not gonna go to bed tonight.
