Daisy's P.O.V.
I feel the soft breeze of the cold fall air hit my face. The leaves crunch under my feet as I make my way on the sidewalk to my new life. I could feel my heartbeat accelerate as I inched my way closer. I push my glasses up on my face. I stop at the steps and look down at my outfit. I had on my favorite red dress. The one my mom had. It was loose so it flowed with the wind. I didn't show too much cleavage cause I didn't want to seem like a slut. I had black converse; my black hair was straightened to the tip.
I deeply inhaled and exhaled.
You can do this. I think.
I walked into my new high school, in my new hometown in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The place is obviously already crowded with people everywhere. I could feel my anxiety kicking in from my stomach to my chest, slowly raising. I squeeze my eyes shut and start to hyperventilate.
Then I hear his voice in the back of my head.
Shh, Angel calm down. It's gonna be alright. Just slowly breathe. I will be with you the whole way. Just calm down.
His voice is the only thing that calms me. I gain enough courage to finally go to the office and ask for my schedule. The front desk lady handed me my schedule with my locker number and combination on it. I quickly walked out and, of course, me being me, I ran into someone.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" I immediately apologized feeling my face heat up. He looked up at me and we locked eyes. He had brown hair and beautiful green eyes, they reminded me of someone. He was white with an amazing jawline. His hair was swayed to the side and the sides were shaved off.
Fook he is cute. I thought.
"It's ok." The mysterious boy said. We stared at each other for what felt like an eternity before we both slipped out of our trance. I looked at my shoes and stood there, not wanting to make eye contact. "Are you new here?" He asked. His voice sounded sweet, like a nice tune. I nodded my head. "Do you want me to show you to your class and locker?" He asked again. I nodded again. "Here give me your paper and I will show you." I put out my arm and handed him my paper. He looked at it and said, "Follow me."
I followed him close behind through the hall. We went up a flight of stairs and down another hallway. My head was down most of the time.
We stopped in front of a locker that hand the number 194 engraved into it. He put the combination into it for me and opened it. I kept my head down, avoiding eye contact.
I felt his finger touch my chin and lift my head up so I was facing him. My face felt like it was on fire. He smiled, which made me smile back. Bad habit.
"You have a beautiful smile." I accidentally said.
"You talk?" He chuckled. I didn't think I could blush any more than I already was. "Thanks. You have beautiful eyes." I smiled at the ground again.
"You do that a lot don't you? Smile at the ground?" I nodded slowly, still not looking at him. "Well my locker is right over there," He said point at a locker right across from mine. "If you need anything, just look for me." He started to walk away. "My name is Jaeden." He winked at me and finally walked off completely.
I couldn't believe it. Either he was a huge flirt or he actually likes me. Probably the first one.
I put some stuff in my locker and made my way to my first class considering it was right by my locker. I walked in early, wanting to have a chance to meet the teacher. He was leaning over his desk looking at something, studying it very precisely.
