Daisy's P.O.V.

I walked through my front door with the few groceries in my hand. I made sure to lock the door before putting the groceries away. I grabbed my diet pills and ran up to my room to hide them in my bathroom.

I made my way back downstairs and grabbed a bag with some lettuce and little things like sliced carrots and put some into a bowl. I rinsed it off and then went to the fridge and grabbed some ranch. I set the bottle down by my bowl and stared at it. I was so used to just eating plain old lettuce alone with nothing else.

I sighed and decided to put some ranch on, trying to eat a bit more.

I grabbed a fork and started to eat.

My phone went off.

"Hey, mom," I answered.

"Hey, baby. How is everything?" She asked.

"I'm fine. Everything has been normal." I explained.

"Ok. Well did you get the stuff I asked you to?" She pushed.

"Yes, mom of coarse," I said.

"Ok well, I will be back tomorrow. Bye baby love you." She replied.

"Love you too." I hung up the phone, putting up my food, and heading up to bed.

I did the usual and finally, put my head down to fall asleep. The last few days have been terrifying and tiring so it didn't take me long to fall asleep.

My phone went off so I thought it was time to wake up.

I looked at my window but it was still dark.

I looked at my phone and the caller ID Jack came up.

"Hello?" I answered sitting up slightly in my bed. My voice was a little croaky.

"Are you home?" Jack asked. He sounded out of breath and worried.

"Um yes, I was just sleeping. What's wrong?" I asked.

"Um," He exhaled deeply. "Something happened. I'm at your front door."

I widened my eyes, quickly running to the front door.

I opened it and Jack was standing there with his hood up.

"Come in," I told him. I looked outside to see if anyone was outside. It was empty except for a few cars. I closed the door behind us.

"Thank you," Jack whispered. I pulled his hood down to see his face. There were tears streaming down his face.

"Oh my gosh. Jack what happened." I asked while wiping a couple of tears from his face.

"My parents, they wouldn't stop fighting. I tried to stop them. But they just kicked me out." Jack explained.

I looked at him in the eyes and caressed his cheek, seeing the pain in his eyes.

"You can stay here for as long as you need," I assured him.

"Come up to my room and lay down," I said to him. He just nodded his head and obeyed. I walked at him side, keeping my arm around him.

He sat down on my bed and looked up at me.

"Are you ok?" I asked Jack, even though the answer was obvious that he wasn't. After all, his parents kicked him out of the house. He must feel so betrayed.

"What do you think?" Jack snapped. I raised my eyebrows at him. I took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be mean, I'm just, I don't know." Jack stammered.

I sat down next to him and pulled him close, in a side hug manner.

"I don't know what to do." Jack thought.

"Well, considering it's like 1 in the morning we need to get to sleep. We will figure out everything in the morning. Everything will be ok though." I assured. He looked at me, his eyes locking with mine.

"Are you sure?" He asked, his voice cracked.

"Yes. Sooner or later. Maybe not right this second. But things will fix themselves." I expressed.

Jack nodded. "I could sleep on the couch or something?" He asked. I shook my head.

"No, you sleep in here. I'll sleep in my mom's room since she isn't here." I answered.

"But I don't wanna take your room. I-I could just leave." Jack started to get up. I grabbed his arm and turned him to face me.

"No," I argued. "You will sleep here tonight and sleep in my room. It's not a bother I promise."

Jack gave me a swift hug, I wasn't expecting it but I hugged him back.

"Thank you so much." He said. I pulled away and caressed his cheek.

"Now go to bed. We still have school tomorrow." I reminded him.

I grabbed my phone and he said, "Goodnight Daisy." I walked out saying,

"Goodnight."
