Daisy's P.O.V.
I sat in my seat on the plane, once again I got the window seat. This time though, Jessica sat right next to me. She decided to come with my mother and I, to spend some time there again. I didn't argue and I couldn't lie, I sort of warmed up to Jessica after my whole breakdown in my old house. She sat in the middle while my mom sat on the far side by the aisle.
I remembered what I promised Steve, to tell Jessica he was sorry for her. I hadn't really got around to it before hand and haven't really thought about it. Maybe, Steve could do it for himself.
I turned and looked at Jessica, I still couldn't believe I had a sister this whole time and had no idea. She looked at me and asked, "What's up?" She puts on her seat belt and I put on mine.
"So, I was thinking, were you friends with any of my friends when you went to my school?" I asked. She sighed and shook her head.
"My only friend was Steve and I was fine with that. I didn't want to be popular but Steve did. I guess us not being friends was bound to happen, even if everything else didn't." She explained. I looked at her a bit confused.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
She shrugged. "Even if Ali didn't drive me away, Steve and I wouldn't be friends forever. Sooner or later he would become popular and leave me behind." I nodded, knowing what she was saying sounded true but not wanting to admit it.
"Do you think you could forgive him?" I asked, hopeful. After Steve had his breakdown in my arms, I knew he was sorry. Truly sorry. Which I didn't think he could feel.
She shrugged her shoulders again. "I don't know." She simply says and leans her head back, closing her eyes.
I assumed she didn't want to talk again, so I just looked out the window, thinking.
I wonder what happened while I was gone. I mainly texted Jack and Chosen, not Jaeden, and sometimes Finn and Wyatt. I wonder how they will react to the fact that Jessica is my sister, since I decided against telling them yet.
I took a deep breath and tried to take a nap.
----
I plopped down on my bed, face first. It felt so good, the covers fluffy and comfy against my cold skin. I took a deep breath before sitting up.
"Show Jessica to her room." My mother told me. I rolled my eyes and got up. She waited in the living room. My phone went off. I grabbed it from my back pocket and saw it was a text from Chosen.
C: IS THAT YOUR CAR PARKED IN YOUR DRIVE WAY THAT I SEE!
I giggle and text back.
D: whos else would it be???
C:WE ARE COMING OVER NOW
I rolled my eyes smiling and looked up and Jessica, sliding my phone in my back pocket and saying, "Follow me." I led her up the stairs and next to my room was our extra room. Our house only had three rooms so it was perfect. Hers was at the end of the hall. Weirdly enough, I got the master room with a bathroom. My mom didn't want it for some reason, but I didn't mind. My room was right by the stairs and my moms was downstairs. "Make yourself at home." I tell her as the doorbell goes off.
I run down the hall and open the door to Chosen and Jack. "Hey guys!" I say, happily. I missed them a lot.
"Hey!" They said at the same time. I gave them both a hug, feeling a warm feeling in my stomach as the familiarity hits.
"Come inside. I've got some news." I say and they go and sit down on the couch.
"So do we. Shit went down when you were gone." Jack tells me as I sit next to them.
Scared that my mom would hear, I suggested we go up to my room. They nodded their heads and followed me up. I looked across the hall and saw Jessica unpacking some of her stuff. She looked sad. Chosen and Jack followed my gaze.
"Who's that?" Chosen asks. She didn't seem to hear us, focusing on her things.
"That's the news I needed to talk to you about." I say, walking into my room. They followed me and sat on my bed. I kept the door a bit open and sat in my desk chair. "That's Jessica." I let out, not wanting to keep the secret anymore. They looked at me confused.
"What is she doing here?" Jack asked. I sighed and pursed my lips.
"Turns out, she's my sister." I told them. Chosen raised his eyebrows, stunned, while Jack furrowed his, still confused.
After a long pause, Jack asks, "How?"
I laughed a little, facing the floor, and say, "How do you think? My dad cheated on my mom a long time ago and had a kid but never told us." I look back up at them. They both looked away as I looked up, I assumed they felt sorry for me. "Just another thing to add to the list of why I hate my dad."
"I'm sorry Daisy." Chosen spoke up. "That's fucked up."
I leaned back in my chair, and hugged my knees. "Eh, its whatever. But it makes everything with Ali easier. I got the info we needed so its one less thing to worry about." They looked up at me, then at each other, then back at me. "What?"
"Yeah we have another problem..." Jack trails off. I roll my eyes and lay my head on my knees.
"Now what?" I ask, a little annoyed with all the things life likes to throw at me.
"Well, when you were gone, Steve tried to expose Ali. It sort of back fired on him, as she sent fake screen shots to everyone of conversations between Jessica and him, showing that he was bullying her and told her to go kill herself. Steve had no proof against it so now everyone basically hates Steve and he lost his popularity and friends." Chosen explain.
My jaw dropped and I looked at them in disbelief. "No fucking way." I groaned. "This is bullshit! How does she always keep winning?"
They both shrugged their shoulders, having nothing to say.
I heard the door open that revealed Jessica. She was holding something. "Hey is it alright- Whoa. Oh! Um..." she trailed off.
I got up and said, "Uh, Jessica, this is Chosen and Jack." Both of the boys got up and shook her hand.
"Hey, its been a while." Jack said. She smiled and blushed a little.
"Yeah it has been, I guess." She replied.
"Oh yeah, and Daisy?" Jack asked. I looked over at him. "Do you wanna be my date to the winter formal?"
