Daisy's P.O.V.
I slugged through the day. Today was so tiring I could barely stay awake for class. Right now I was in 6th period which was honors English. I had Jaeden in this class too but we didn't sit together. He sat with Ali.
We had some assignment on the computer that was mainly about grammar and stupid shit like that so I kinda flew through it.
I was on my last lesson when some girl tapped on my shoulder.
I turned to my side where she was sitting next to me and looked at her.
"Could you help me with this?" She asked. "Not to bother you or anything, but you seemed to get this stupid shit."
I gave her a friendly smile and nodded. "What do you need help with?" I asked.
"Well for starters, this stupid website is questioning us stuff that we haven't even learned yet. Like what the hell is active and passive voice?" She complained. I chuckled and leaned in closer ready to explain.
Jaeden's P.O.V.
I looked over at Daisy, she was talking to Lydia, a girl in our class. They were laughing.
God, I cannot go through with this plan, but at the same time if I don't Ali will ruin her. I don't want to be the reason she hates it here. I don't want her to hate me more importantly.
"Whatcha looking at?" Ali asked from beside me. I just shrugged, knowing she already knew the answer. I stared blankly at my paper, my mind whizzing with thoughts, I couldn't even focus on work.
She just laughed beside me and kept talking to her friends.
I wonder if she even likes me or just wants to ruin Daisy's life. Even if she did just wanna ruin her life, what's the reason behind it? Or is she so sick that she has no reason at all?
I looked back up at Daisy, not caring what Ali thought or saw.
She was laughing with her table group, they seemed to be getting along really well. I noticed a lot of people seem to be liking her, Daisy talks to more people besides me and the boys. I mean, of course, they do. She is nice and smart and funny, what's not to like?
Daisy's P.O.V.
I was swift with my actions. I quickly dropped the note in Steve's locker, hoping that no one saw me.
The note may or may not have said something sexually suggestive, but I had to make sure he would come. If he didn't that would ruin my plan.
I waited at the end of the hall, making sure he read it.
Steve appeared so I quickly turned the corner so he couldn't see me. I peeked over to see him, he was opening his locker.
The note flew down to the ground, he backed up to look at it. He looked down the hall, opposite of me, so I quickly hid myself using the wall knowing he would probably look down my hall.
For some reason, my heart was racing. My thoughts went to the worst. What if he gets mad and beats me up? Could I take that again?
I needed to know this. At any cost.
I slowly peered over down the hall do see him reading the note. I could see him smirk.
I got him.
I quickly ran into the empty teacher's lounge that I have never seen any teacher in. They seem to always be at the other one, at the front of the building. Which is perfect for me.
I walked in, not turning on the lights, hiding in the corner.
Now I must wait.
I need the answers about Jessica. Maybe it could be nothing about Ali. Maybe it could have everything to do with Ali.
I just needed one ray of hope.
The door was opened abruptly, Steve walking in and closing the door behind him.
He smirked. "You were the one who wrote the note?" He asked. I bit my lip seductively and nodded my head.
He walked towards me, but I went the other way around the single table in the room. I walked towards the door, locking it.
"Well sweetie, I can tell you that you are in for a good ti-" I rolled my eyes and interrupted him.
"I know about Jessica," I said simply. His face dropped. He chuckled nervously.
"Who?" He asked, no expression present in his voice.
"Oh, bullshit. She told me all about you two. And what happened. Why she left." I lied left and right. I'm hoping he will feel attacked enough to think 'fuck it. She already knows this why not just tell her.'
I just hope for once luck is on my side.
"I have no fucking clue what you're talking about." He said sternly. I rolled my eyes, playing the character. He walked towards me.
"Oh please, you 'don't know her' my ass. I can't believe you would ever do that. I knew you were a bad person, but to do that to her," he turned around, "that's just sick." I finished my last attempt to break him. "I just wanna know why you did it? What is your motivation to do that to someone who was supposed to be your best friend?"
I had no idea if I was getting the story right or wrong. If any of this made any sense to him. But I had to make it sound bad.
I looked at him closely, he had his fists balled up which showed me I triggered him. I knew this from the countless times with my father.
Also, the way he scrunched up his body, keeping his arms and legs tucked in tight. He also dipped his head, looking down.
"I didn't think she would do that," Steve said suddenly. I swear I heard a hint of pain in his voice. "I never wanted to hurt her. I loved her more than anyone else. I-I don't know what triggered her. I didn't want to hurt her."
Steve turned around, his face was all scrunched up like he was trying his hardest not to cry.
This was the first time I had actually gotten a good look at the big bully. His red fiery hair matches his personality. Freckles clustered his face making it a little less perfect. Even in the darkness, I could see his baby blue eyes. He actually wasn't that bad looking.
"But I swear I had nothing to do with what Ali told her." He said warningly.
Jackpot.
