Daisy's P.O.V.
My alarm went off indicating it was time to wake up. I dreadfully turned it off and laid back down on my back. I rubbed my eyes, they stung. I didn't get an ounce of sleep after Jack came. I felt horrible.
I got up and went to my room, opening the door a little, no noise coming from the room.
I opened it all the way, and there, on my bed was a sleeping Jack. I walked to the edge, admiring him. He looked so nice and peaceful. No tears were running down his face, not a hint of pain showed. I didn't want to disturb him.
His phone was going off. I looked at the screen. They were texts from his mom. I decided to open his phone and look at it.
She was texting all throughout the night saying she was sorry, trying to get him to come back home.
At least she apologized.
Hey, I'm sure my mom is sorry. She didn't know how much of a monster my father was.
Jack started stirring, waking from his slumber. He opened his eyes and looked at me.
"Hey, lazy. How'd ya sleep?" I asked. I'm guessing getting to sleep must have been pretty rough considering I couldn't even go to sleep.
"Could've been better. Hey is that my phone?" Jack asked sitting up abruptly. I nodded my head.
"Your mom is apologizing a bunch. I think she truly is sorry." I stated. He rolled his eyes.
"Well, I don't forgive her. I mean, how could she do that to her son? A mother is supposed to love you unconditionally, not throw you out of the house." He hissed. I sat by him.
"I'm not making up excuses for your mom but she probably didn't mean for it to go that far." I tried.
"Ugh, I'm not in the mood for school today," Jack complained. I couldn't agree more.
I grinned. "Neither am I. So let's stay." I suggested.
"But my mom will kill me." He argued.
"Not if you guilt-trip her. Plus, she's got to give you this, I mean, she kicked you out at 1 in the morning. It's the least she could do." I reasoned.
He smiled. "Let me text her now." He grabbed his phone from my hands and started typing.
"Be right back," I said. I went to go get my phone to tell her I would be staying home. My mom didn't mind. Especially with all that I've gone through.
I came back into the room and Jack grinned at me. "It worked. Thank god." He laid back and rubbed his eyes.
My mom texted me back saying that it would be fine. I bit my lip and said, "Now time to sleep in." I turned around ready to go to my mother's bed.
"Wait Daisy," Jack said from behind me. I turned around to face him. "You could lay with me, i-if you want to."
I smiled and decided to go lay with him.
He scooted down and I laid down, pulling the covers over me. I laid on my back and he did the same.
For a little while, I just looked at the ceiling, thinking about what my mom was doing right now.
"Thanks, Daisy for letting me stay." Jack thanked, laying on his side to face me.
"Of course. You can stay anytime." I replied.
"Sweet dreams." He whispered before closing his eyes.
"I hope," I muttered. I followed his actions and did the same.
