Daisy's P.O.V.
"I didn't know there was a winter formal." I pointed out. "When is it?"
Jack smiled. "This Saturday. The whole school is basically going." He informed me. I nodded my head and smiled back at him.
"Well in that case, I will be your date." I only agreed to having Jack as my date since we were still fake dating. I didn't expect this to go this far, I don't think either one of us did. I didn't know how much longer I could take of it either. It just felt wrong at this point. Yes, we both knew it was fake but I didn't want all my firsts to be fake.
I turned to look at Jessica. "Wanna come with? It'll be fun!" I suggested. She shrug her shoulders and looked down at the ground.
"Wouldn't it be kinda weird, since I went to school with most of them and then just left." She said uneasy. She looked up at me, and I could see the pain in her eyes. She was bullied by a lot of them, she lost her best friend and had no one else. I could get why she didn't wanna go but now she had me and Jack and Chosen.
"C'mon, it'll be fun. Plus screw everyone else. You have us now to have fun with." Chosen said, grabbing her hands and shaking his shoulders, doing a little dance with her. She laughed and blushed a little.
"Alright fine then." Jessica gives in, smiling at Chosen. I smile at how cute they look together. Chosen backs up and sits back down on the bed.
"Let's go shopping!" He suggests. Jack shakes his head, agreeing with the idea.
"Let's be normal teenagers," Jack announces, getting up, "who worry about shit like school dances, what we are going to wear and who is going to be our date." He walks up to me and grabs my hands. "Let's do something normal for once." He pointed out. He was right. I needed a break from all the scheming and figuring out impossible situations. I think we all needed a break to just chill and feel normal for once.
I sighed. "Fuck it. Let's do this."

We walked in the mall as a group, along with Finn and Wyatt who we invited.
"So we are serious going to this dumb as shit dance?" Finn asked. He got up in front of the group and walked backwards so he could face us. "Look I don't know about you guys but dances are retarded and a waste of time. Why spend time with a bunch of kids who don't like you when you could be playing video games at home?" Finn blared. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Not all of us want to spend our high school careers locked up in our rooms." Wyatt speaks up. Finn groaned and fell into line with the rest of us.
"Fine." he says, crossing his arms. "But we are playing video games after, deal?"
"Absolutely." Wyatt smiles at him and playfully rolled his eyes, as if that question was the stupidest thing he could have asked.
I turn to Jessica and she turns to me. "Wanna ditch the boys and go dress shopping?" I asked. She gave me a smile and nodded her head. I looked at the boys who were having their own small conversation. "Us ladies will be back. Meet at the pizza shop in and hour?" I asked. They nodded their heads and I grabbed her hand, heading over to BBB Fashion, which always had the cutest dresses.
We browsed for a while, looking at dresses of all colors, from black to bright pink. We talked a lot, about everything and nothing at the same time. I could feel us getting closer and I couldn't be more grateful. A month ago I would have never imagined me having a sister, let alone getting along with her so well.
After a while, one dress in particular caught my eye. It was black, of coarse, tight fitting that was long and had only one sleeve the wrapped around your upper chest to the opposite shoulder. There was a slit down one side. I grabbed it and picked out my size.
"See anything you like?" I asked Jessica, who was in front of me looking at another batch of dresses.
"I think so." She says, examining the dress in her hands hard. I laughed a little.
"Lemme see." I walked around the rack of dresses to see the on she was holding. It was a bright yellow, with a v-neck lining and the bottom was wavy. "This would look beautiful on you." I turned to look at her, and she had an uneasy face on.
"Its a beautiful dress, don't get me wrong, but do you think its too bright? I don't want too many people noticing me." She pursed her lips and looked away from me, examining other dresses. I rolled my eyes.
"Fuck everyone else. We are going to this dance to have fun and not worry about anyone else, ok?" She looked up at me as I continued. "If you wanna walk in there with the flashiest dress out there, then do it. Its your life, not theirs." I finished my little speech. I heard footsteps approaching me and turned around to see the boys.
"You ladies done yet?" Finn asked. I handed Jessica the yellow dress.
"Actually this is perfect timing. You guys are going to judge our dresses, ok?" I turned to them, asking. The boys just nodded their heads complying. I smiled at the before rushing off into the dressing rooms with Jessica.
We both put on the dresses and I walked out before Jessica. I think she was a bit nervous modeling for a bunch of boys.
I walked over to where the boys were and put my hands at my sides, a little nervous too. "What do you think?" The boys looked up from their phones and looked at me. They all smiled.
"You look cute." Jack complimented. I smiled at him.
"Just cute? What kinda boyfriend are you, Jack. You could at least say she looks beautiful." Finn comments. I laugh a little and tell him to shut up.
"I think the dress suits you perfectly." Chosen tells me. Wyatt nods in agreement.
"Daisy!" I hear Jessica call me. I quickly walk back to the dressing rooms and knock on her door.
"What's wrong?" I ask. The door is opened slightly, and I walk in. She is looking at herself in the mirror, turned slightly to see her back.
"I can't get the zipper." She says. I chuckle and get it for her. She sighs. "Thanks."
I examined her in the mirror. She looked beautiful. The dress perfectly complimented her hips and showed off her slight bust but not too much. I could see how we were gonna curl her short hair already. She would look even more beautiful on the night of. "I look fat don't I?" she asked, nervous as I suspected.
"Girl don't even talk like that. You look beautiful and the guys will love you." I said grabbing her hand and leading her out. She followed me to where the guys were sitting.
Suddenly, she stopped dead in her tracks. I looked up at her confused and her gaze was trained on what was in front of us. I looked up and saw the boys, along with Jaeden and Ali. Everyone's eyes were soon trained on Jessica, except Jaeden. He was staring at me and I was staring right back at him.
Shit.
