I sit in front of the mirror, and smile as I curl my hair. I don't know what this boy is doing to me. When I'm with him, my heart seems to mend itself back together. I put the curling iron down, and look straight at myself, as I realize, I'm madly in love with Matt Donovan.
There's a knock on my door, so I open it and see a charming Matt standing in front of me. His mouth falls, and I smirk. "You look beautiful, Grace." He says. "You look pretty good yourself." I say, and he chuckles. "Are you ready?" He asks. "Yeah, lets go to the ball." I say, making us both smile.
Matt opens my door for me, then holds his hand out. I smile, then take it. He loops his arm in mine, and I smirk. "Your such a gentleman." I say sarcastically. "Oh shut up." He says jokingly. I smirk, and we walk towards the house.
"Uh, if everyone could gather please." Eli calls out to the crowd. "Welp, we've been pages to the stairwell." I say. He smiles, and we walk closer to the Mikealson family all gathered on the steps. "Welcome. Thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother brings our family together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance. Tonight's pick is a centuries-old waltz, so if all of you could please find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom." Matt grabs my hand, and leads me behind the others.
We get amongst everyone else, and Matt holds my hand, then puts the other around my waist, while mine goes around his neck. We then start to dance, and I smile at him. "I never thought I'd be dancing like this again." I say. "Did you used to?" He asks. "You remember me telling you about that one guy I loved, George Lockwood, yeah, we would dance at all the balls. Then I became the monster I am, and he didn't trust me anymore." I say.
"Your not a monster, Grace." He says. "How can you say that when you know what I have done in my past?" I ask. "Because I know what you've been through. You've been hurt to many times." He says.
I look at him with tears in my eyes, and find myself starting to lean into him. I see he does to, but he stops right before our lips touch. "We shouldn't do this. Your emotional right now, and if we kiss, I want it to be sincere." He says. I look at him shocked, and clear my throat. "Uh, your right." I say, then I'm twirled into someone else's arms.
