The music starts, so Damon and I start walking. I see Alaric, and smile. We walk over to him, then go out separate ways. I hear the music pick up, and I turn to see Joshua walking with Jo. We smile at each other, and he gives her hand to Ric. Ric leads her up the steps, and smiles at her.
"Welcome, family and friends, on this magical evening, to the wedding of Alaric Saltzman and Josette Laughlin. Alaric, if you will say your vowels." The reverend says. Alaric shifts on his feet, and takes a deep breath.
"Neither one of us should be here right now. We've spend our life dodging fate and beating the odds. But, because we did, I got to meet you, the most beautiful, hilarious and intimidatingly brilliant woman I have ever known. You inspire me, you've shown me that happiness is actually something that I can have in my life. And so...I promise to be with you, and love you, and to dodge fate with you--for the rest of our lives." He says, then puts the ring in her left hand.
Jo sniffles, and I smile. "Josette." Reverend says. "Wow. That's a tough act to follow." Jo says, wiping a tear out from under hear eye, causing us to all laugh. "Here goes." She says, then readjusts there hands. "Alaric Saltzman-" She says, but stops talking. "Jo?" He asks.
She makes a noise, and that's when I notice the blood pouring from her stomach. I run to her, and she falls in my arms. We fall to the ground, and I see her brother pop up out of nowhere. He starts talking, but I don't hear.
Jo yanks the necklace from her neck, and puts it in my hand. She then holds my hand, and closes her eyes. "No! Jo!" I yell. I feel tears start to block my vision, and they fall. Jo's face soon becomes wet with my salty tears falling from above, and I look around. I see everyone freaking out, but I can't hear them.
Then I feel something slice my cheek and arm open, and I see glass flying around. I scream, and cover Jo's body. Then the barn shakes, and I fall to the ground, Jo's hand still in mine.
