I groan as a light meets my eyes, and hear chuckling. I look, and see my twin brother and my boyfriend watching me with amused expressions. "Morning, princess." Damon says with a smirk. "Shsh!" I yell at him, causing them to laugh. "Never let me drink again!" I beg. "Okay." Matt replies. "Time to wake up." Damon says, pulling the sheets from above me. I groan, and sit up.
"You've got a bridal shower tonight. Then bachelorette party day after tomorrow. Then wedding a week from now." Matt says. "Fine!" I huff, and stand up. I look around the room, and see an unfamiliar room. "Who's bed is this?" I ask. "It's a spare room." Damon replies, to witch I nod.
I walk over to Matt, and he smiles. I lay my head on his chest, and he wraps his arms around me. "I love you." I say. "I love you to." He responds, kissing the top of my head. "Alright, Love birds." Damon says walking in. We pull away and laugh. "Genevieve, phone call for you." He says, holding his phone out to me.
Hello?
Jenny? I wanted to call and make sure you were okay after last night.
What do you mean?
You showed up at the house, drunk out of your mind.
Oh..... everything from last nights kinda a blur.
Are you okay though?
Peachy.
Okay. I will talk to you later then. If I have been informed right, you have a bridal shower tonight.
Who... I thought you didn't like Matt
We aren't close, but we both have a common friend.
Awwwww, Eli, you wound me. I'm your friend. Your so sweet.
Do you always speak in sarcasm?
Every second of every day.
That actually does not surprise me.
Adios, amigo.I hang up the phone, and smile at the boys. "I've gotta go get stuff and a dress. I'll see y'all later." I say then walk out of the house, after throwing Damon's phone to him.
I walk in the house, and see all the lights off. I quietly tiptoe to my room, and pass Stefan's. I lightly open the door to check on him like I would do when we were human, and see him asleep.
I lightly open the door, and see my six year old brother asleep in his bed. I smile at his peacefulness, but I'm interrupted when I hear footsteps. I see my twin brother walking over to me, so I calm. He walks over to me, and smiles. "He's adorable, isn't he?" Damon asks. "I'm just glad he can be in peace at the moment. I know it will be over, but he deserves a moment of happiness." I say, and we both hear footsteps.
I look up, and see father coming towards us. I take a deep breath, and wrap my hand around Damon's arm. He steps closer to be in front of me, and I put my chest flesh against his back. Father walks closer, and I start to hold my breath. I feel a ghost of the harming son my arm, and father looks at the door. He looks into Stefan's room, then back at us. "Why are you disturbing your little brother?!" He asks. "I was just checking on him father." I whisper.
He walks over to us, and Damon steps even further in front of me. Father looks at Damon, and laughs. "You would stand for her? She is nothing. She will never be anyone." Father says. "Your wrong!" Damon says, but father hits him. "No! Please! Leave him be!" I beg.
Father looks at me, and steps much closer to me. He moves the loose strand of hair behind my ear, and I shudder. He then pulls his hand back, and brings it across my face. I fall to the ground, and see Damon try to stand. I crawl over to him, and place my hands on his arms. "Damon, don't." I say. He looks me in the eyes, and pulls me to stand up with him. "Your sleeping in my room tonight." He says, then wraps his arm around me, and leads me to his side of our conjoined rooms.
