It was a long walk. I felt bad making Watinie carry me, but I didn't have much of a choice.
It's been a long time since I'd been that close to him. I peered down at him. He had scars all along the back of his neck that stretched farther then the fabric. I rested my head in his neck feeling horrible knowing that I was the one who made those scars.
"What's wrong? Did you die on me?" Watinie frantically said while furiously blushing.
"....I'm sorry...." I mumbled.
"And Why of all people are you apologizing to me?" Watinie questioned.
"....I made these scars....."
"So what. I probably gave you more."
"....I still feel bad.."
"You don't have to. You were defending yourself. Who cares anyways it's just some measly scars."
"Hey Watinie....."
"Hey?"
"....what are we doing..."
"Well...I'm trying to redeem the hell I've put you through. And I believe you miss people trying to kill you so your trying to kill yourself."
I messed up his hair frustratedly.
"Not funny!"
"Come on lighten up a bit"
"Ok"
"Just ok?"
"Mhm"
"I don't believe you"
"Mmm"
"Hm? By the way. Where's your human boyfriend? You managed to get back to him right?"
"..."
"Shinata?"
I nipped his neck lightly, in anger.
"Ow!" He yelped dropping me on my ass.
I sat there motionless still not able to move my legs.
"What was that for!" He yelled at me.
"..."
"What did you just expect to jump men and me to forget about him?!"
"....we had a fight..." I said with tears threatening my eyes.
"...are you kidding me...that's it??? You broke up because of one small fight?!"
"...he wanted me to stay human..."
"That's preposterous. Doesn't he know that we could die if our animal spirits leave for too long."
"..."
"You didn't explain...?"
"..."
"You didn't break up with him...he left you?"
"..." tears streamed down my face.
"Hey it's ok! Everything is going to be ok!...alright..?...so please...don't cry..?"
I wiped my tears away from my eyes as Watinie picked me up in a piggy back ride again.
"Sorry *sniff*"
"You apologize too much."
"Sor-"
"Shinata" he quickly cut me off. "I wasn't lying when I said I used to be your friend. But what the hell are we supposed to be? How can we hate and be friends at the same time?!"
