Silver's POV (PC means power chapter!)
I finally got to the boarder. To cross the boarder I had to cross a river. The river flow was heavy and my knee wasn't fully healed yet. Crossing was a big challenge.
I felt Otone shiver in my arm. I sighed and stuck him inside the front of my sweater. I replaced his body for my bad arm in the sling. Thankfully it was a lot easier this way. My dead arm hung down still refusing to heal faster. I took another step forward in the freezing cold fast water. My black converse were no help to keep a grip on the river floor.
I was almost halfway through the river. It was waist deep and threatened to touch the sleeping boy in my arms. I scowled and took another step forward. I was past halfway. We were finally safe. I turned back and saw wolfs trying to get to me. They started in the water but were not able to cross. No one, wolf or fox dares to break the borders sacred rule. I was an exception at least. I was forced onto their land against my will. So I may leave once I can.
At least we were safe at last. Once I got us out of the river. I saw Watinie watch as I left. He wouldn't dare break the law. He would be punished severely by the wolfs. It goes against their loyalty code. I inhaled and smelt humans. We were close to the village.
The village was on the very line of the boarder, as is Takashie's house. That's why he wanted me to slaughter the humans. So the fox tribe would look bad and they would be forced to give up land in that area. He also wanted me to do it to see blood being shed.
The village was in the beautiful horizon. Then sun just started to rise as I saw the village.
I lightly shook the small boy in my arms.
"Hey, Otone!"
"Mm...hm...?"
"Come out of my sweater and open your eyes"
"B-but I've already seen the basement."
"But Otoneeee" I whined "do you really lack that much faith in meee?"
"W-what do you mean Silver?"
"Just look at the sunrise all ready. I kept my promise"
"Y-you-" he trailed off. His eyes sparkled in the sunrises beauty. He saw his village. He saw his home. "T-thank hic you!" He said starting to happy cry. I set him down and grabbed his small hand. We walked the rest of the way together.
In this moment I didn't care how tired I was from all that running. How wet I was from crossing the river. How much my arm and shoulder hurt from the fight. How much my knee stinged every step I took. No! In this moment I was truly happy for Otone.
I finally had my bad arm back in its sling. Everything was felling surreal!
Then the village caught fire and exploded. Jk sorry!! Continuing with the real story now! ~Author
As we stepped into the village we were the only ones awake. Not surprised from how early it was. Otone pulled me in the direct of his house. We stoped at a cute farm house with a bunch of big steal pipes at the side. I lifted Otone up so he could press the doorbell.
"Who is it!" Shouted a woman's and mans voice from inside. We could hear them running to the door. I guess they really did miss Otone. Well who wouldn't miss this bundle of joy. I squeezed his hand and made sure he was standing in front of the door.
The door swung open and a tall man came out looking straight.
"Whose there!? We're are you!" He called confused.
"...uh....sir...?" I said questioning then I realized. He was tall. Me and Otone were short. Man. He didn't see us.
"Daddy!" Otone yelled and ran at the man and hugged his knees.
