Diana x Childhood-Friend!Reader

(Bit of background: You and Diana met when you were both five because your (mom/dad/whoever) was a servant of Diana's family.)

I had finally been accepted to Luna Nova Academy for Witches.

I had tried the year before and not got in, putting me a year behind the other kids my age.

Although I don't come from a family of witches, an old friend taught me all I know.

Said friend also attended L.N., which was a major reason I chose this school.

Her name was Diana Cavendish, the girl who's family mine used to serve.

I had fallen in love with the girl when we were about nine.

When my (m/d/w) found out, however, (she/he/they) took me out of the mansion to live with a relative in Japan. (No, not Akko XD)

I arrive at the school on my broom, immediately walking towards the main office.

"Ah, (Y/N) (L/N)! We were expecting you!" says Ms. Halbrooke, the headmistress.

I look around the room, seeing no one else. "'We'?" I ask.

"Oh, that's right! I had called for Miss Cavendish to show you around, but when you didn't show I sent her to find you." she said.

Just then, a familiar voice was heard through the door as it began opening. "I'm deeply sorry, Ms. Halbrooke, but I couldn't find (Y/N) anywh-" she stopped as her eyes fell on me.

"Miss Cavendish! Good, I need you to show (Y/N) around now." the teacher called.

I doubted Diana even heard with how intently she was staring at me, but she nodded and turned to the door. "Follow me." she called in the same monotonous voice.

Once we were down the hall from where anyone could see, she squealed, pulling me into a tight hug.

I quickly hugged her back, burying my face into her neck.

"(Y/N), I missed you so much!" she says quietly as we pull back from the hug.

"Me too." I say with a soft smile as she grabs my hands in her own tightly.

"I heard why you left, (Y/N)." she says in a more serious tone, looking into my eyes with worry. "Is it true?"

I look away, nodding slowly as I feel my face heat up. "Y-Yeah, it is."

I turn my face a bit to see how she reacted, seeing a flustered Diana biting her lip.

"(Y/N) I-... I love you too." she says almost inaudibly, looking into my eyes.

I feel my face grow even hotter. "You do..?" I ask, my heart racing a million miles per hour.

She doesn't answer. She just grabs my collar, pulling me into a passionate kiss.

I wrap my arms around her waist, licking her bottom lip for permission.

Her lips taste like sweet tea... Was all I could think as she opened her mouth, allowing me to kiss her.

It ended way too fast as we pulled back for air, a trail of saliva between our lips.

"I love you, Diana." I say, pressing my forehead against hers lightly.

She giggles. "I know." she says matter-of-factly, making me laugh too.

She sighs, returning that monotonous look to her face. "I guess we should continue our tour."

I nod as she flashes me a quick smile before turning and walking off, me at her heels.
