(Diana POV)

"The kiss of death
When a mortal of the living realm comes into romantic contact with one of the dead
This comes in the form of a kiss of love
Love is quite deadly, after all"

A strange message floats around in my mind as I start to wake up.

"The living will then be transported to the realm of the dead
Where they will leave their mortal body and live on as a spirit"

I open my eyes slowly to the sound of someone calling out to me.

"..ana? Diana? Diana!" Akko cries, shaking what looks like a lifeless me.

"Akko, I'm right here!" I call to her.

She lifts her head, tears in her eyes as she spots me.

"Diana!" she runs over to me, her arms wide.

I catch her in my arms, pulling her close.

"I thought... But you... Over there..." she says slowly, trying to process whatever was happening right now.

"I think I'm in the realm of the dead." I say slowly as I remember what that voice said.

"Wait, so does this mean... We can be together forever?!" Akko says happily.

I lean forward, kissing those lips I had been yearning for for years.

"I've wanted to do that for so long." I say as we part, resting our foreheads together.

"C'mon, let's go." Akko pulls me along.

"Go where?" I ask.

A bright light appears in the corner of the room as Akko pulls me towards it.

"I only stayed behind for you. Now that you're here we can finally be free." she says.

"Where does this lead?" I ask, feeling nervous.

"Home." she simply says as we step into the light together, hand in hand.

(Akko POV)

I couldn't be happier.

I finally had Diana, and now we could be together forever!

No one could torment her or tell her what to do ever again!

She can be free now, and we can be together.

"Akko, honey, dinner's ready!" Diana calls from the other room of our house in the dead realm.

By the way, we got a house.

I walk into the kitchen as she sets some soul food on the table. (Does anyone get my joke here? Anyone?..)

"Thanks, sweetie." I smile at her, kissing her forehead as I take a seat.

Yep, things couldn't get any better than this. I smile, gazing at the love of my life. And death.
