You're Safe Now

(Kai's POV)

I looked everywhere for a room that looked suspicious, but I could not find it.  I was just hoping they didn't fall already and we lost Max and my sister forever.

We were in the dark room. Everyone was panicking and acting like we were dying. So, I decided I'd be the responsible one and find the door. As soon as I felt the doorknob, I walked out, but they didn't see me.

I was looking and trying to stay out of sight from the guards. If they saw me, I'd sure be in trouble. Then, I figured:

"They wouldn't have made it obvious, they knew we would look inside. They must've put it outside!".

I honestly don't know if that was a smart thought, but I found a window, and jumped out of it, and then I closed it, to hide evidence. It was cloudy, but it wasn't thundering and raining like it has been for a couple of days.

I'm starting to miss the sun.

I walked around, but I couldn't find anything. I then heard shaking in the bushes. I put on my ninja mask and walked over to the bushes with my swords out. Nothing was there. 'Screw this wind.', I thought. I heard some bushes shake behind me, so I turned around, but again, nothing was there. "That was NOT wind!", I whisper-shouted. I put my swords away. I was hoping it wasn't one of those guards.

"Okay!", I shouted. "I've had a rough day! Can you please, PLEASE, leave me alone. I'm clearly getting targeted!".

That was probably a bad idea, because the bush in front of me started shaking even harder and faster than before.

Just looking at it made me nauseous.

Then I heard the bush cry, "Please don't hurt me!".

"Nope! I'm done!", I shouted. "I'm going crazy!".

 I slowly forced myself to walk over to the bush. I prayed that there would be something in the bush, like a talking toy or something. In fact, I hope it NOT a talking toy.

I slowly pushed the leaves away from the bushes to see a girl. She has reddish-brown hair and was wearing some sort of flower crown, which you could tell they weren't real. She stared up at me with her brown eyes. I rubbed my eyes at least 3 times. "Hullo.", the girl said quietly. "Why-why-why are you in a bush?", I stuttered, helping her up. "I got lost.", she said, brushing the dirt off her clothes. She was about Crystal's height, and looked about her age.

"So... you got lost, so you hid in a bush?", I said, very annoyed. "And you thought that was going to help you?". "I was trying to get your attention by shaking the bushes.", she said. "Sorry for scaring you.".

"Heh, heh!", I laughed. "Scared? I wasn't scared!". I nervously smiled at her.

She doesn't need to know.

"Don't worry, you're safe now.", I said. "I'll take you to the ninja to see what they can do with you.". "The ninja?", she said, seeming unknowing of us. "Oh, sorry.". I said. "I'm Kai, master of fire.". "Cool!", said the girl, nodding her head. "I'm Ady!". "Well, Ady.", I said. "Follow me.".

(Crystal's POV)

Where did Kai go?

He just disappeared!

This is obviously the ODIB's doing.

Yes, I abbreviated the One Dressed In Black.

Anyway, we searched everywhere for Kai. "Maybe he went to find Nya and Max.". said Cole. "Ya'll saw what happened?". "Or the ODIB could have took him when the lights were out!". I said. "What's that?", Lloyd asked. "Crystal made an abbreviation of the One Dressed In Black.", Zane explained. "Which was ODIB.". "ODIB?", Jay said, looking like he was trying to hold in a laugh. "But....if you read it as a word backwards it's-". "Don't ask.", I interrupted before Jay could say what it say backwards.

It's a minion reference.

Suddenly, I saw Kai jump through the window with a girl in his arms. "Um, Kai...did you go adopt a child?", Jay asked. "Jay, that would be impossible.", Zane said. "Because there are no adoption centers around this part of Ninjago.". "Zane.", I said with clenched teeth. "It's a joke.". "Oh.", Zane said, looking quite confused. "I found her in a bush.". Kai said. "This is Ady.". "You found her in a bush?", Lloyd asked. "She was lost and alone.", Kai explained. "Since when have you cared when someone is lost and alone?", Cole asked, with his arms crossed. "Since now!", Kai argued. "What kind of bush was it?", Lloyd said, who obviously was interested more in the bush than the girl. "There were people coming after me!", Ady explained. "They were wearing black clothes and I saw a clock on the back of their jackets!".

We all glanced at each others. "We have to save my sister and Max!", Kai shouted, stopping the glancing. "C'mon!".
