Riddles

(Max's POV)

I faced the wall while the storm was going on, again. I couldn't get to sleep, mainly because of the thunder. We should be resting, and I was really, really tired, but I could not get to sleep.

A lot of thoughts were going through my brain, like:

"Who is the One Dressed In Black, and why do they want our powers?".

Nya said it could be anybody, and I am pretty sure it's the girl who took us to that giant room.

Kai thinks it was one of the twins, which is impossible because both twins were there when we talked to the One Dressed In Black.

They had a mask on, and it was some sort or metal uniform, which is something a Nindroid would wear.

Maybe I could use my Human Detector.

I invented it last week.

It's like a metal detector, except it detects humans inside covered clothes.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on my window. I turned to my window to see a person in a hood. It was dark, so I couldn't see their face. "What are you?", I asked, trying to get myself to get my bo staff, even though my body wouldn't let me. "I am your worst nightmare!", said the hooded person. They sounded exactly like the One Dressed In Black. "Who are you?", I asked. It was silent for a while, but then they said:

"Friends become enemies when friends are enemies with the friend.".

"What?", I asked. "I don't understand.".

"Friends become enemies when friends are enemies with the friend.".

I started to get scared. I had no idea what this person was saying. They started to repeat it multiple times. "Stop it, Stop it!", I screamed, covering my ears. For some reason, when they repeated the phrase, it caused me to panic and my heart rate to get faster.

"Stop it!", I shouted, rolling onto my bed. "Stop it! STOP!!!!".

I had gotten myself wrapped into my blanket and had fell off the bed. I started hyperventilating. 'I'm dying!", I thought to myself. 'I'm dying!!!". I then felt dazed and confused, and suddenly didn't know what was happening. I gasped out a final "Help" before closing my eyes.

I woke up in a dark room. I was tied to something, but I had no idea, because I still was having trouble seeing. I heard loud footsteps coming towards me. I slowly put my head up to see a blurry figure walk to me. As soon as I vision cleared, I saw that it was the emo sunglasses girl.

I knew she had something to do with this!

"Hello, ninja.", she said with an evil tone. She looked the same as ever, only this time, she was dressed in the Time Warrior's uniform. Her dark brown hair was not in a ponytail anymore, but out hanging down. "It's you..", I said with clenched teeth. "Silly ninja.", she said, laughing. "Always a sucker for riddles.".

"It was you all along!", Max shouted. "I knew it.". "Who, specifically, am I?", she asked, as if she didn't know.

"You're the One Dressed In Black, and you know it!", I shouted angrily. "You are so stupid!", the girl shouted at me. "I'm not the One Dressed In Black!". "LIAR!", I screamed at the top of my lungs. "YOU SICK, DIRTY, LIAR!".

"I'm not the One Dressed In Black.", she said. "But, I do work for them.". She scoffed.

"You want our powers!", I continued to shout. "You caused the storms! You captured me and Nya. You're the reason Ady got lost!".

"We all want your powers.", said the girl. "My name is Gingerly Harrison, but everyone calls me Gem.". "Wow, Gingerly..", Max said. "Nice name for an evil girl like you!".

"It's GEM!", shouted Gem, pointing a sword at me. "And...you won't last long here.". "Yeah.", I said. "'Cause I'm getting out of here, and there is nothing you can do to stop me.". "I wouldn't be so sure, Max O'Kleefe.", Gem said with clenched teeth.

"How do you know my name?", I asked. She didn't answer, she just gave me a fake sweet smile. "These cameras will watch every move you make!", explained Gem. "So, if you even so much as break a rope, you will be surrounded by guards within seconds!". "Wow, I didn't know Time Warriors were such stalkers!", I shot at Gem as she was walking away.

"Sweet dreams, ninja.", said Gem, then laughing as she walked away.

"Heh.", I said to myself. "I'm not afraid of some silly guards. I can take a couple of guards..".

I started wriggling to get free, but it was hopeless. I was never getting out of here.

The only good thing that could happen is if the cameras suddenly malfunctioned and I could break free.
