A Note from the ODIB

Okay, when was the last time I updated this story? (random person: Five weeks ago)

Yeah, so I apologize for that. It was because I couldn't get off my lazy butt and think of a chapter. So, for making you wait so long, I'm going to give you a nice, sort of long chapter to enjoy. :D

(Crystal's POV)

When we got home, Nya was at the door, looking worried as ever. "Oh my gosh!", she said. "Are you guys okay? I was so worried about-". "Relax, sis.", Kai said. "We're fine.". Nya glared at Kai.

"I know who the One Dressed In Black is!!", Max practically screamed. "No, you don't!", I said, but Max just ignored me and continued to talk.

As always.

"It's that Gem girl.", Max shouted. "It's so obvious!". "Which is why she isn't the ODIB!", I shouted back. "What if she wants us to THINK she's the ODIB, and then while we're messin' with her, the REAL ODIB is walking freely, destroying every citizen in Ninjago?!". "She does have a point.", Cole agreed. "The One Dressed In Black could be someone else.".

"Guys!", Jay shouted from the other room. "I found a note in Crystal's room!".

Wait, there was a note in my room?!

Aw, crap..

All of us scrambled to get upstairs and saw Jay, holding a rolled up piece of paper in his hand. "You won't believe what it says!", Jay whispered. "Why are we whispering?", Zane asked, looking quite confused. "Because..", Jay said. "The One Dressed In Black could be watching us, right now-".

"Hey guys!".

Jay screamed loudly and fell backwards. I was trying my hardest not to laugh. "What happened?", Ady asked. "You scared the heck outta me, Ady.", Jay scolded. "Sorry.", Ady said, looking down, then staring at the note that was sadly thrown into the air.

"What's that?", Ady asked. "It's the note that we're assuming the One Dressed In Black gave us.", Lloyd answered. "What's it say?", Ady asked, running over. Kai picked up the paper and read it aloud:

"Dear Ninja,

You think you are so clever, but you aren't.

You think you know who I am, but you don't.

Ask me to tell you who I am, and I won't.

Your tricks do not fool me,

for the fools are who you look in the mirror.

I know your plans,

this is the end.

Friends become enemies when friends are enemies with the friend..

Sincerely, Anonymous."

"Well.", Jay said, laughing nervously. "Looks like I'm gonna have trouble sleeping tonight.". "Wait, what did that last part say?", I asked.

"Sincerely, Anonymous?", Kai said, then staring at me with a 'duh' face. "Kai, you KNOW what I meant.". I said, raising my voice. Kai huffed and rolled his eyes and then read:

"Friends become enemies when friends are enemies with the friend.".

"Wait, what does that even mean?", Jay asked. "I've searched up the phrase.", Zane said. "The meaning is unknown. This does not compute.". "Well, now it just got even creepier.", Jay whispered, while his voice was shaking.

"That is creepy.", Ady said. "Whoever the One Dressed In Black is must be someone who likes to scare the living daylight out of people as a daily hobby.". "Ady's right.". Nya said, then put on a serious face.

"For now on,", she commanded. "We must stand guard of the Bounty. If we see or hear anything suspicious, we must report it to someone.".

"Yes sir!", Max shouted, then correcting himself, he said. "Err...ma'am.".

Ady yawned. "I'm tired.", she said. "I'm going to bed.". "Kay.", I shouted as she walked off. "G'night.".

After we all went to bed, I stared at the ceiling. I couldn't sleep, and I was pretty sure Jay couldn't, either. I hummed to myself until 12am. I heard footsteps walking by, I looked outside, and I saw a figure walking past. I stared and watched it walk by. Then, I heard something crash, and I looked at my door.

Who turned off the bathroom light?

I immediately turn back to the window, and the figure is gone.

Why did I have to look away?

My brain told me to get up, but my body practically screamed: "Crystal Lynn, stay in your spot and whatever you do, don't move.".

"Yo, Criss.", I heard Kai purposely yell. "You asleep?".

I rolled my eyes, and turned my head.

What kind of question is that?

Literally, the only answer to that is "Nope de dope, sucker.".

I slowly rose up from my bed. "What do you want?", I rudely asked. "We need to meet downstairs, pronto!", Kai shouted. I seriously wanted to yell:

"Don't call me Criss ever again or this will be the last day you see the light.".

I ran downstairs. "What you need?", I asked. "Did anyone else hear that crash?", Nya asked. "Yeah.", we all said.

"We should go check it out!", Max said. "Nya, you stay here and look after Ady.", Jay said. "After all, that cut still needs to heal some more.". "Okay, I'll let Ady know.", Nya said, then she ran upstairs.

"Okay, Zane, what's the plan?", Kai asked. "If we're going to stay out of sight?", Zane explained. "Then we must-".

Zane was interrupted by the thumping coming from upstairs, then a scream from Nya. She came running downstairs with a panicked look on her face. "Nya, what's wrong?", Jay asked.

"It's Ady!", Nya said. "She's...she's..", Nya was so scared she could not get the words out of her mouth. "Calm down.", I said. "What happened with Ady?".

Nya calmed down, then she continued saying:

"Ady, she's....gone!".

"Gone?", Lloyd asked. "What do you mean, gone?". "She isn't in her bed!!", Nya said. "I swear I checked EVERYWHERE!!". "This must be the One Dressed In Black's doing!", Cole said. "GREAT!", Jay said while pacing. "First, there are Nindroids, then, Nya and Max get captured, and now, they captured Ady!! The suspense is too much for me to handle!! We're going to die!!".

Jay grabs onto Kai shoulders, starts shaking him wildly, and screams:

"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIIIIIIIE!!!".
