Won Again

(Kai's POV)

I woke up to the bright sunlight shining in my eyes. 'It was just raining.', I thought. Then, I remembered that we had beat the Time Master, and that she was gone for good. I slowly got out of my bed. It was dark, but now, it was like the next day had came.

It probably did.

I walked over to the control room, but no one was there. When I checked outside, everyone was standing there and doing nothing. "Oh good!", Nya cheered. "You're finally awake.". 

"Wasn't it just raining?", I asked. "Not anymore!", Zane said. "Now that the real mask is destroyed, the weather is back under control.".

"And it's a good thing too!", Max cheered. "Now, we won't get wet on every mission we go on!". 

"So,", Jay said, turning to Crystal and Cole. "How did you manage to escape the Time Master's evil hands?". 

"We didn't escape", Cole explained. "She let us go.". 

Jay let out a loud and dramatic gasp.

"Her?", he asked. "The Time Master?". "It was almost as if,", Crystal said. "She wanted to die.".

"A lot of people are hurt on the inside.", Zane explained. "That may be why she turned into the Time Master. She felt as if she had to feel powerful to feel better about herself.".

"She sacrificed herself, for us.", Gem sighed. "She was not a good person, but she was a great master.".

We all gave Gem angry glares.

"WAS!", she shouted.

I turned and saw Katniss and Kate. "Wait!", I said. "I thought that you guys got captured by the Time Master.".

"We did.", said Katniss. "OOH, you escaped!!", Jay said. "PLEASE tell me you escaped.". "Actually, no.", Kate said. "She let us go.". "Aw, man!", Jay pouted. "I wanted to hear a story!".

"When she was capturing us.", explained Katniss. "She looked back at us and dropped the rope. She untied us and whispered 'go'.".

"That's what she said to us!", Crystal said. "But, why?".

"We all have a good side, somewhere in us.", I said. "Maybe she finally decided to give up and realize that she can't beat the good guys.".

"Maybe, she's not evil?", Lloyd said. "Maybe, it was the mask.".

We all shrugged.

"No way.", Crystal said. "She was evil without the mask on!".

"I guess we will never know.", said Nya. "What matters is that the battle is over.".

(Crystal's POV)

"You're right.", I agreed. "It's all over now, what is done, is done.". "It was all thanks to you two.", Kai said, looking at me and Max. "Huh?", we both said in unison.

"Max.", Kai said."You were willing to sacrifice yourself and almost die for the team. And Crystal, you told us to not give up, but to stand up.". I smiled.

"Oh.", Max said, turning to Gem. "By the way, thanks for saving me like that!". "No problem.", Gem laughed. "After what you guys did for me, I had to pay you back.". Max smiled. Gem smiled back.

"Sunny, partly cloudy.", Katniss started. "Chance of precipitation, 0%", Kate continued "Temperature at 75 degree Fahrenheit.". 

"It's like the news!", Jay said. "Only in walking computer form!".

Katniss and Kate stared at Jay blankly.

"It's a new software update I added myself!", Jay bragged, then grinned widely.

"Thank you for helping out!", Gem cheered. "We really underestimated you guys!". "And, we underestimated you.", Cole said. "You promise to keep in contact?", Nya asked. "Of course!", Gem said.

"I wonder what happened to that poor HQ.", Lloyd said. "We should be careful.", Zane added. "There are lots of broken pieces of glass and metal. We should stay away until further notice.". We slowly walked back to the Bounty.

...

Well, I didn't walk, my ankle was still sprained. I forgot and tried to walk on it. Instead, I held onto Cole's shoulder and hopped onto the other foot. "So, how's that ankle doing?", Cole asked. "I think I'm okay.", I answered. "I'll probably be fine in about a week or so.".

"That's the spirit!", Cole cheered sarcastically.

I unintentionally snorted.

"Do you think Ady is gone forever?", Cole asked me."Who knows?", I said. "But, at least we get a break for now.". "True.", Cole said, while shrugging.

"I gotta say.", Gem said "You guys make a really great team!". "Really?", I asked. "Uh, yeah!", Gem said. "You guys destroyed one of the most powerful warriors ever to face Ninjago! And, with you guys on the team, nothing can stop you!".

And, here comes the blush..

"Sweet.", Cole said silently. "Thanks.", Gem saluted, then looked at her watch. "Oh, look at the time.". Gem said. "I gotta go!".

"Oh, and here.", Max said. "You were just about to leave this.".

"This is one of the most powerful weapons in Ninjago.", Gem warned. "Are you sure you want to give ME this? And why?".

"Because I trust you.", said Max. "Keep battling and being a warrior!".

Gem smiled. "Thanks.", she whispered. "But, I'm not gonna need it.".

"Just take it, Gem!", Max said. "Just in case.".

"Okay.", Gem said. "And, call me Gigi.". Max smirked.

Meanwhile, I tried to not burst out laughing and barf, but I couldn't do both. I held in silent laughter and covered my mouth. 

"Shall we keep in touch?", Max asked. "Hmm..", Gem said. "Let me think about it.". She shuffled her feet and took a piece of folded paper. "Maybe that should find your answer.", Gem giggled, then walked away with Katniss and Kate following.

I saw Max unfold the paper and blush.

I looked over his shoulder and saw a rainbow-colored heart. 

"Ooooh..", Cole said, mimicking Max's voice. "Shut up..", he whispered and laughed.

"Guys, we have a robber at Ninjago Bank!", Nya interrupted. "We have to hurry fast.". 

"You gonna be okay with that foot?", Kai asked. 

"I'll be fine.", I whispered. 

"Well, let's go then.", Jay said, and we followed Lloyd.

I stared over at the Clock HQ. It was stacked into tiny pieces of metal and glass. I thought about Ady, and how I kind of respected how she sacrificed herself.

I smiled, and slowly ran behind the others.
