A lost soul. A lost soul drifting in the wind, with no purpose. That's what she was, that's all she ever would be. Lauren Jauregui was a lost soul...she would forever be lost. With her hands behind her back she walked down the hallway with no confidence. It wasn't like her, normally she would have her head held high, but today was different. Lauren walked into the classroom being accompanied by two police officers. What a way to make an entrance she thought. Not one eye wasn't on her.

"Didn't she just get out of jail?" One of Lauren's classmates whispered loudly.

Lauren knew people would talk about the way she entered the classroom and how she got in the situation, but she didn't care.

"Any funny business, and this won't be the last time I see you." One of the police officers whispered into Lauren's ear. Lauren shrugged and sat down in an empty seat.

The police officers left the room, and her classmates was now directed on the teacher. But little did Lauren know, not everybody's attention was diverted on the teacher. One of Lauren's classmates, Camila, trapped their focus on her. Camila bit her lip and looked at Lauren a bit longer. Camila didn't know what had her in a trance, but she knew she wouldn't mid staying in it.

"Okay, class. Yes, we have a new student. Please welcome, Lauren Jauregui." Mr. Harrison introduced Lauren to the class. "Anything you would like to tell us, Miss Jauregui."

Lauren looked around and rolled her eyes. She sighed and looked down. She felt as if she would regret what she was about to say, but yet, she said it anyway.

"Because all of you want to be nosy and get all up in my grill, yes, I did just get out of jail. Anymore questions? Make em' short cause I have a life to attend to." Lauren told her whole class. Her classmates were taken back by her introduction, but Camila felt like laughing. She kept it to herself though. "No questions? Good, keep it that way."

Lauren looked at Mr.Harrison who was staring at her like she had done something so disgusting.

"You can teach now, I'm done." Lauren stated. Mr.Harrison snapped out of his daze and spike again.

"Thank you, Lauren, for that...interesting introduction." Mr.Harrison replied. "Anyway, welcome to another day of health class."

Lauren had forgotten what class this was. Health class was Lauren's favorite class, it was the only class you didn't have to do anything, or so she thought.

"This year we are bringing back sometime we haven't done in a while. Something that will be helpful in the long-run." Mr.Harrison explained. "It's the one and only...baby assignment!"

The whole class groaned, some whined, but Lauren was confused. She had never heard or done the baby assignment.

"What's the baby assignment?" Camila asked raising her eyebrows. Lauren looked at Camila. Someone had asked the question she needed to be asked.

"Good question, Camila." Mr.Harrison said. "The baby assignment, is where you'll pair up with a partner, and raise a robot baby. Now if you're successful in doing this, you get an easy A. If you are not, you fail. And this is a very important grade so I advise you not to fail."

Lauren looked around. The partner part is what stood out to her the most. Lauren didn't get along with people well, and people didn't really like her. Couldn't she just be a single mother?

"Okay, now I want you to pair up." Mr.Harrison clapped his hands together. "Uh - Lauren could you come up here please."

Lauren got up while everyone found their partners. She walked to Mr.Harrison's desk. She leaned her arm up on it.
