When Lauren woke up in the morning, Camila was still asleep. Lauren got up from the bed and tiptoed downstairs.

"Good morning, Lauren." Taylor called from the kitchen. Lauren quickly brought her index finger to her mouth telling her sister to be quiet. "Why do I need to be quiet? This is my house."

"I have a friend upstairs who is sleeping, and she's hungover, so you gotta shh. Please." Lauren replied. Taylor nodded and brought her voice to a whisper level.

Lauren walked over to the medication cabinet and dug out a bottle of Aspirin. She got a bottle of water out of the fridge.

"So, this friend? 'Friend' or literally your friend?" Taylor asked raising an eyebrow.

"Just a friend. Literally." Lauren responded.

"Okay...just asking." Taylor grinned. Lauren rolled her eyes and walked back upstairs. She saw a messy Camila look around the room.

"What am I doing here?" Camila asked. Her voice was raspy, her hair was messy, and she had dark circles under her eyes. Camila held her head in pain. "Why the fuck does my head hurt so bad?"

Lauren shut the door and sighed.

"You kinda drank too much last night." Lauren said shrugging. She set the medicine and the water down on the nightstand. "That's for your headache."

"Thanks, I guess." Camila replied. "How much did I drink, and what happened? And out of all people why did I end up with you?"

"Well, I don't really know all that happened. But, you basically ended up in a room with Austin I'm guessing. Then you came downstairs and started calling for me. You said that he kissed you basically. Then I was going to take you home, but you said you would get into trouble if I took you home. So we ended up here." Lauren explained.

"You could've taken me to Dinah's, Normani's, or Ally's even. They would've understood." Camila rolled her eyes.

"You didn't say anything when I suggested coming here." Lauren told her.

"I was drunk! I have an excuse!" Camila yelled. Lauren rolled her eyes.

"I thought you would be grateful, I didn't have to bring you here, you know." Lauren said.

"Then why did you?" Camila asked getting angry. "We didn't do anything did we?"

"No." Lauren replied.

"Good." Camila crossed her arms, she bit the inside of her cheek.

"Why are you so upset? You're the one who was sweet talking me last night."

"I was drunk! I didn't mean any of it!" Camila held her head.

"Go home, Camila." Lauren responded. "If you're gonna sit here and yell at me for helping you, then you can leave."

"Fine. I will. Where are my clothes?" Camila asked.

"On the floor." Lauren responded as she leaned against the window looking up at the morning sky.

"Lauren..." Camila said. "I'm...sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you. I'm just a little upset."

"I can tell. It's alright. None of this matters anyway. Now that last night is over, we can go back to being strangers." Lauren eyed the younger girl.

"But that's not what I want to be." Camila said. "I got your letter. I know why you're doing this."

Lauren turned around and looked at Camila. "Then you know why we can't do this." Lauren gestured to the both of them. "The space we have between each other...we should respect that space, it has a purpose."
