His lips had barely brushed against mine when a panicked thought suddenlt shot through my mind.

"Damn it Jai, mum has no idea where I am, she's probably freaking out," I jumped up from the couch, only to remeber my phone was dead.

Jai fished his phone out of his pocket and handed it to me, his eyes showing their sincerity.

"Your the best," I kissed his cheek softly and punched in my home number, wandering into the kitchen and biting my thumbnail as it rung.

"Hello?"

"Mum, its um Julia," I stammered into the phone.

"Where the hell are you?" she snapped, "I got home an hour ago to find that the house was empty. I called your phone at least 5 times but you didn't pick up."

"I'm sorry, my phone was dead," I replied meekly, my hands shaking. "I just wanted to let you know that I'm staying over at Ja-Miki's house for the night," I stuttered, praying that she didn't hear the mistake."

"You wanted to let me know?" her voice was cold.

"I'm sorry its so late, she just offered when we were in the city since it would be easier, I was going to ring you but as I said, my phone is out of battery," I stopped in front of the fridge and stared at a glossy pictureof all 3 Brooks brothers standing with their arms around each other, smiles planted on their faces.

"You better be home tomorrow when I get back from work," came the angry reply, then the line went dead.

I slid to the ground, and huddled by the fridge, my teeth chattering.

"Julia?"

I looked up, Jai was staring down at me in concern, his eyes were asking silent questions.

"Are you ok?"

"I'm fine," I planted a fake smile on my mouth, even though it felt like plastic.

"You sure?" He lifted me onto my feet and pulled me into a hug. I buried my face in his chest, my throat felt like it was clogging up as I tried to keep the tears down.

I didn't want to go home, I never did. Thats why I was at Miki's house most of the time. I'm scared of my own mother, its all messed up.

"I'm fine, Jai, really, don't worry," I murmured, he dropped his arms and looked at me, I put on my most convincing smile.

He cocked his head.

"Ok, if you say so babe."

We walked back into the living room where Beau was crying freely, Luke flashing a 'told you so' look at me and Jai while we tried to hold back our laughter.

"It's so sad," he bawled.

"Aww its ok little baby Beau, there's no need to cry," Luke smirked, rubbing Beau's back in a circular motion.

"Piss off," he dragged a hand across his eyes to dry the tears.

An unexpected yawn came from my mouth, I hadn't realized how tired I was, my eyes were aching and felt like they were going to close any minute.

Jai picked me up like a baby, ignoring my attempts to try and stop him and carried me into his room, gently placing me on his bed.

"Go to sleep," he whispered in my ear, he drooped a blanket over my shoulders, tucking me in like a baby. I reached out for his hand while sleep dragged me into into the clouds. I was aware of him squeezing it gently before walking out of the room.

After tossing and turning I finally gave in to a restless sleep right before Jai tip-toed in. He climbed in beside me and I could feel him watching me.

I nestled into him and felt his arms go around me protectively.

"I love you," a voice whispered before it all faded black.

Decided to put a bit of tension in there! There has to be some sort of problems, right! Thanks for reading guys, you don't know how much it means! It would be even more amazing if you could coment and vote! Oh you know what I found out, my name and middle name both start with J, and Jai off the Janoskians is my favourite out of all of them.
