"After the wild race at Atlanta, Brett Moffitt went on to steal a win away from the 46 truck of Harrison Burton, and the 88 of Matt Crafton. In turn 2 on the first lap, the 51 of Jacob Rose and the 41 of Ben Rhodes collided together. Rhodes was able to continue, but Jacob was not as the right side of the car was slammed into by the 45 of Justin Fontaine. As qualifying gets closer here at Vegas, it's clear that this season is going to be a good one. The first car on track will be the 45 of Justin Fontaine."
Jacob watches as the few trucks ahead of him complete their qualifying times. It's clear that his Toyota has speed as shown at Daytona, and the qualifying time at Atlanta. After the 15 trucks ahead of him finish his lap. He drives off of pit road having to beat the time the 41 just set. Jacob drives into turn 1 on his single qualifying lap knowing he has a fast truck. Out of turn 2, he slides to right next to the wall trying to gain momentum into turn 3. He drops to right next to the white line through 3 and 4 and takes provisional pole.
"Matt Crafton is the last truck to go through turn 3 and 4 but he doesn't have the speed to contend with the 51. Jacob Rose will score his first career pole in Las Vegas! On his outside for Friday's race is his teammate in the 46 Harrison Burton."
**To the start of the race**
"The pace car pulls onto pit road as Jacob Rose leads the field to green! Harrison contends on the outside but slides behind the 51 out of turn 2. Up to 3rd in the 4 truck is both Rose and Burton's boss, Kyle Busch forming a KBM 1-2-3 at the end of lap one."
After 46 laps everyone pits after a debris caution. Rose just beats the 4 truck out of pit road shaping up a crazy battle on the restart.
"With 101 laps left we are back green with the 51 and 4 battling out of turn 2! Kyle gets a run but Jacob shuts that down through 3 and 4 as he slides up just nearly taking out both him and Kyle!"
"Ok 100 to go." Says Jacob's spotter "If we keep our head down the win is ours."
"Gotcha. Don't worry, if I keep this tempo going there's no chance in hell someone is passing us."
"Don't get too overconfident. Remember anything can happen."
*skipping about 95 laps cause nothing happens*
"With 5 laps left the 52 truck is closing fast on the 51! 10 seconds is the gap but at the rate, the 51 is going it could close up in about 4 laps!"
"Conserve fuel, Jacob. We're just half a lap short."
"What do you think I'm doing! Just tell me where that 52 is."
"3 laps left and the 52 is 5 seconds back!"
"3 left. The 52 is still 5 seconds back, we're a quarter of a lap short."
"Come on now! By the time I save enough, he'll be right on my bumper!"
"2 to go for the 51 truck but with the 52 only 3 seconds back its going to be a close race."
"Coming to one to go. We're good on fuel. Drive the wheels off!"
"Jacob Rose crosses the line with one lap left! Stewart Friesen is only half a second back into turn 1! Out of turn, 2 Friesen goes to the high side trying to get around the 51 into turn 3! Rose defends coming to the line as he will score his second career win and the second of this season in three races!"(Well that's race 3 done. Our next race is the Alpha Energy Solutions 250 at Martinsville! Get ready for a lot of damage done to the truck. Also, it'll be published tomorrow)
