"Welcome to Gateway for the Truck Series race here, Noah Gragson made an aggressive pass on Brett Moffitt for the win in Iowa. Jacob Rose sat that race out to run in the Xfinity Series and he went on to win that race, after much consideration from NASCAR executives, the plan between JGR and KBM wasn't against the rules, but Jacob Rose did declare he was going to run for ROTY (Rookie of the Year) and miss 4 races. He was slated to run every race, as he is not injured, he can not compete for ROTY due to this. This means, even though he is running the whole season, he won't win ROTY, but NASCAR lets him compete for the title. Also for GMS, the 2 team shuts down to no sponsors, and they will open up a brand new number 23 truck for Sheldon Creed to move him up faster than planned. Creed will be available for points, but, as he started several races later, there's no plan on him making the Playoffs unless he steals a win. Now, here's the starting line up. 1st is Noah Gragson, 2nd is Justin Haley, 3rd is Todd Gilliland, and 4th is Jacob Rose. The trucks round turn 4 and we will go green here at Gateway! Gragson leads them down into the apex of turn 1. Haley fights on the outside as Rose falls behind Gilliland for 4th. Gilliland gives his KBM teammate a shot into turn 3 and boosts him past Haley as Gilliland tries to close the door. Haley runs on the top side still not phased by his injury from Kansas. Haley gets a run off of turn 4 as Rose ducks to the bottom of Todd Gilliland to make it 3 wide for 2nd! Rose forces his way to hold the inside as Gilliland slides up the track and falls to 4th! Rose and Haley the two Indiana drivers are in a battle trying to also catch Noah Gragson! Haley and Rose are side by side down the back straight! Rose gets a nose ahead into turn 3 and makes the pass off of turn 4. Rose is now 2 seconds off of Gragson after 5 laps, both of those KBM trucks are hooked up well and can drive off the corner amazingly, just Gragson is slightly better in sticking in the center of the turns."
"The truck is handling amazing, just I don't have the turn in the corner as Noah can. If I can just get some kind of wedge into the truck to tighten it a tad bit I can chase him down."
"Alright Jacob, where are you struggling more?"
"Turn 3 mostly, the rear kicks out slightly. It's not bad, but it's noticeable."
"10-4, about a quarter round of wedge when you pit. 20 laps until our pit window, we'll keep an eye on your condition."
"Noah Gragson is about a second and a half ahead as his truck isn't sticking as well as it was. He's reporting it's loose in on exit of Turn 2."
"Ok, you're closing in on Noah, he has an extremely well short run car and his long run car is struggling extremely."
"10-4, keep giving me updates on him. I need to know how much I'm gaining by. I don't want to push the truck too far."
"Will do, Haley is over 2 seconds back. You're clear of him."
"Gragson is running over 2 seconds a lap slower than before, meanwhile Rose is only running 1.3 seconds slower. After 30 laps here comes Rose looking on the outside of Turn 2!"
"18 down low, at your front left, at your door, at your quarter. Swoop down now, take his line away!"
"Rose makes a gutsy move into turn 1 shooting to the bottom of the track forcing Noah to hop onto the brakes hard."
"Alright, new leader #51."
"Ok lads, let's get win number 4. We have the speed to, let's go."
"Hang on. Caution is out, Cody Roper spun in Turn 4 and tagged the outside wall."
"Alright, guys. Pit for 4 tires, the problem of turning works itself out. Just give it about 20 laps."
"10-4, get ready for the stop guys, 4 tires. Let's make this fast and keep him out front."
