"We welcome you to the Kansas Speedway for another truck series race this season! On pole for the race is the #52 truck of Stewart Friesen. On his outside is the #24 truck of Justin Haley. In 3rd is the #51 truck of Jacob Rose. He is finally returning to some form of racing after one of the worst weeks before Kansas. He was involved in a crash leaving Dover and suffered a broken pinkie and a fractured left wrist. They have Kyle Busch on standby if Jacob needs a relive driver. Now the truck round turn 4 for the green flag here at Kansas! Into turn 1 Stewart Friesen holds off the 24 but leaves the bottom line left for Jacob to take the lead! Out of 2, he's beside the 52! Friesen is trying to add rubber to the top side but it's likely he'll fall down to 5th before grip gets any progress! Rose will clear the 52 and slide up the track to run the top in 1 and 2!"
"Ok guys, the truck feels fine but my wrist is in a lot of pain."
"Run it until a yellow comes out. We're getting Kyle ready."
"10-4. I'll try to hold the position."
"5 laps in as the #20 of Bubba Wallace will spin! Caution flies on the circuit as the 51 will lead the field down pit road."
"Hit the marks, 5,4,3,2,1. Box box box."
"In comes the #51 of Jacob Rose as they will bring in Kyle Busch after Jacob reported he couldn't drive anymore with his injury."
Jacob walks off to his motorhome and lays down and starts talking to himself.
"Why did I bother on starting? I just hurt myself more for what? A few points? We could've gained those back at the next race in Charlotte. Whatever, I need to rest and recover if I want to impress Gibbs for Iowa."
Jacob slowly drifts off into a sleep. Unknown to him that a hard crash happened injuring his friend and rival Justin Haley. Justin was airlifted to the hospital and suffered a broken jaw and 4 broken ribs split 3 on the right 1 on the left. It looked similar to Aric Almirola's crash from the year before.
(Next race is Charlotte. Expect some changes, including Spencer Gallager replacing Justin Haley for the 24 team of GMS)
