"Welcome to Iowa Speedway for the American Ethanol 250. This race has a huge presence of young drivers in the form of the #18 of Noah Gragson, and the #19 of Jacob Rose just for JGR. The #41 has Chase Briscoe and, the #60 of Ty Majeski. On the pole is the #20 of Christopher Bell and alongside him is the #11 of Ryan Truex. In 5th is the highest part-time rookie, Jacob Rose. He traded rides with Brandon Jones for 4 events this year. Jacob is already locked into the Truck Series Playoffs with 4 wins making him the current #1 seed. As the pace car dives into pit lane, the green flag is out! Truex clears Bell into turn 1 and takes the lead. Meanwhile back in P3 Rose is battling both the #1 of Sadler and the #22 of Cindric."
"Ok, Cindric is up high, clear. Sadler is still down low. At your quarter clear low. P3, you're tracking 2 tenths faster than the #11. You can get to them. Go at it."
"Rose has broken free of the 3 car battle and is within reach of the #11 and #20."
"Alright keep your head down, you can catch them."
"Yea, I know that. Look, I can run my own race, just tell me what I need to know."
"Alright, you're less than 2 tenths back on Truex and Bell. It is completely possible to catch them the next lap. Just keep an eye on Chastain. That #4 is wicked fast."
"Alright, this is what I need, I don't need a cheerleader on the pit box."
"Rose is within striking distance of the two leaders. After 13 laps it is now a 3 car battle for the lead involving Truex, Bell, and Rose. Into turn 1, Rose sends it underneath both of them and takes P1!"
"New leader #19."
"Haha, how many times has anyone heard that this year?"
"Only once. Just now."
"This idea was smart, now time for me to check out. See y'all behind me later!"
"Rose has already checked out to a 7 tenth lead after 5 laps. 23 laps in and it's clear the #19 is gonna win."
"How's the car?"
"Perfect, the only problem I have is in the middle of 1&2 is the car doesn't grip perfectly. I feel slightly loose. Not that bad but it might get worse later on."
"Alright, we'll monitor the scenario."
"Rose is out to a 2-second lead as he dives into Turn 1. Woah! Major oversteer for the #19!"
"Way too loose now. I need to pit soon."
"Alright, pit in 5 laps."
"That slip up let Bell close in by a second and a half. It's clear Jacob's car is a perfect short run car."
"Pit in this time. Bell will be right behind you."
"In comes the #19 and 20. Rose pits in for 4 tires, 2 cans of fuel and a round added to the car. Bell pits for tires and fuel, also removes a quarter round of wedge reporting his ca is tight turning through Turn 3. Off of pit lane, Rose will beat Bell, but they get beat by Cole Custer who pitted 2 laps sooner."
"P2. We are a good 4 tenths faster than the 00. He's a good target."
"Into Turn 3, Jacob places his car underneath Custer. Cole turns down into the #19 and spins him!"
"Caution, Custer dumped you."
"Rose spins back around to catch and dump Custer!"
"What was that!?"
"He dumped me for no reason. He deserves it. We're at caution speed, it's not like I dumped him at 160."
"Well, we're trying to talk to NASCAR about you not getting penalized."
"He dumped us first! It's like we can't have at it anymore. He deserved every bit of it."
"You'll drop to the tail end of the longest line."
"Whatever. I'll be back to the top of the standings in 30 laps."
"As we get ready to go back green, Bell will lead Briscoe to the green flag with 50 to go!"
"50 to go Jacob. It's now or never."
"Rose starts back in 24th. He drives up to the back of the lead lap cars and is fighting his way through."
"40 to go. P18, we can bring this home."
"I know, every 5 laps, give me a position update and distance to the leader."
"35 to go. P11, 5.2 back from Briscoe."
"Out of Turn 4, a caution is out! Ryan Seig in the #39 has spun off of Turn 3."
"We'll restart P9. Chastain in front of us. Briscoe Hemric front row."
"29 to go, Briscoe leads them to green but spins his tires! Bell drives into the back of him and spins the #41!"
"Yellow. We'll be P7. Briscoe spun, Hemric was caught jumping the start."
"How many left?"
"25. Hold your breath. This is getting close."
"25 to go. Bell leads the field to green! Rose follows Chastain into Turn 1! Chastain takes P3 as Rose takes P4. In P2 is the #00 of Custer. He is back in race-winning contention!"
"22 to go. P3, Bell & Custer are ahead. Less than a second to the #20."
"Rose gets behind Custer and drops to the bottom down the back and clears him! 17 to go. Rose is now locked on to the #20. It's clear he can, and will catch Bell."
"13 to go now. You are on Bell's bumper. A tenth back. Get to him."
"Rose drops to the inside of Bell. Rose makes slight contact with his left rear! Bell saves it and Rose is the leader with 8 to go!"
"Come on now! 7 laps left! We got this!"
"Bell is desperate for his 2nd career win! He is trying everything! Custer gets to his door out of 4! 2 laps left and Rose has a 7 tenths lead."
"2 more. Be calm and lock this one in."
"Rose drives off into the distance for Custer! 1 lap is left! Rose is set for his 1st career Xfinity Series victory!"
"You are right there! Only 2 turns left!"
"Custer sends everything he's got but finds the Turn 4 wall. Jacob Rose will win here in Iowa!"
"YES! OH MY GOD, GUYS YES! THANK YOU ALL!"
"Haha! Bring that #19 to Victory Lane. The future is bright for you man!"
"Oh wow. Way to be welcomed to JGR. Amazing equipment from this organization."
"Jacob Rose will burn down the rear tires for the first time in Xfinity."
"Oh, this means so much more than the 4 Truck wins. I got it in a single start."
"Welcome to Xfinity, Jacob. Enjoy it while you're here. Teams in Cup are looking for a young driver willing to take risks as you do."
"Oh I know, I can't wait for the MENCS."
(Iowa for Xfinity is done. Now it's back to Trucks for the Truck Series Race at Gateway.)
