"We are here at NASCAR's home race, Charlotte Motor Speedway. The #24 was renumbered to the #23 for this race after Justin Haley's bad crash at Kansas. Spencer Gallagher was going to fill in for Justin, but he failed a drug test moving Chase Elliott to run the triple driving the #23 tonight, the #23 in Xfinity tomorrow, and finally the #9 in Cup on Sunday. On the pole is that dominate #51 truck of Jacob Rose. On his outside is the previously mentioned #23 truck of Chase Elliott. Chase hasn't won in Trucks since Mosport in 2014. Jacob Rose is finally 100% after the crash after Dover. He looks like he will be back to a dominant form later on for his Xfinity debut in Iowa. The truck starting 3rd is the #21 of Johnny Sauter. GMS has 2 of the 3 top spots. 4th is Todd Gilliland making it a KBM v GMS battle. The pace car pulls off onto pit road and Rose will lead the field to green once more. through turn 2 Jacob backs off and lets Sauter take the lead!"
"The truck isn't sticking on the bottom, I ran into 1 and almost lost it. It feels like Dover again. Can y'all do anything?"
"Yea, we'll find something."
"Good, cause I don't want to ruin this race."
"After 2 laps, Sauter is still P1 as Elliott remains 2nd. Rose is down in 3rd trying to get grip put on the top."
"Look, if I can, I will put a lot of grip on the top. If that's the only way I'll make spots, I'll do that. I feel like I have the only truck that can run dominate up here. Once I can break free, I will pull a good 3 seconds."
"10-4, do you need us to make that adjustment?"
"No, as long as I feel confident up here, we can run well."
"10 laps in and Sauter has pulled a 9 tenth lead over Elliott. But back in 3rd is that #51 just a tenth back on Elliott."
"Ok, the #23 is down low, at your door, clear low. P2, chase that #21 down."
"10-4. I am absolutely in a zone, we will bring this race home."
"20 laps in and Rose is at the door of Sauter! They battle off of Turn 2! Rose gets a nose ahead into 3 as Sauter slips up and spins!"
"Caution! Caution! Sauter spun underneath you. He caught the outside wall after you drove past. Do you want to pit?"
"Nah, the truck feels perfect! I'll decide the top on the restart."
"Alright, Sauter is gonna pit so watch out if he rockets up to you."
"I mean he has damage, it's unlikely."
"Fair point, get ready, we're gonna go green this time by."
"The pace car drops down to pit lane once more and we are back green once more! Rose this time holds the lead over Elliott and starts to pull away off of Turn 2!"
"Ok, clear low, Elliott is falling back."
"10-4, I believe all I got to do was just drive the wheels off and try to pull away as fast as I can."
"Around goes the 51 hard into the outside wall! Caution is out and Rose's day is done!"
"Jacob are you ok!?"
"Yea, yea. I'm fine. I don't know what happened, I think I got too low and it snapped right on me."
"That's what's happened. You tagged Jordan Anderson spinning."
"Is he good?"
"Yea just dented in the right front."
"How's our truck?"
"Totaled. The whole right side is pancaked, the radiator is gone."
"Got it. We should've pitted and went off plan."
"Yea, but we'll learn."
"Jacob has climbed out of his totaled Pedigree #51 truck. He appears to be fine. It looked like another dominate race for him. It's a shame he didn't pull it off."
(Charlotte is finished. The next race is the Rattlesnake 400 at Texas. Get hyped!)
