"After an amazing race at Daytona, the next race is here at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Active Pest Control 200. Jacob Rose had a dominant race at Daytona scoring a win in his first ever race. His teammate Noah Gragson had a wild ride down the back straight on the final lap after flipping off of the front end of the 92 truck of Regan Smith. We are getting ready for qualifying here. It's clear that the favorite for this race is the fast 51 truck of Jacob Rose. Now the first truck on track is the 7 of Korbin Forrister."
Jacob watches the trucks run there laps while getting ready to qualify last as practice was rained out and the order is based on points.
"Hey, Jacob." Says Justin Haley
"Hey man, what's up?"
"Nothing much, just getting ready for qualifying."
"How's your truck?"
"Running well, it feels loose out of turn 2. How about yours?"
"Tight into 3. Then it hooks up to the middle of 3 and 4."
"Alright, I'll see you later."
"Alright," Jacob says as he sees his teammate Harrison Burton running in the 46 Safelite Toyota Tundra. After 30 minutes Jacob is next in line to qualify.
"Alright man. 2 laps, keep your head down and we're going to get pole."
"10-4. I know we have the truck to do it. It's just how I execute."
Jacob drives off of pit road and merges onto the track out of turn 2.
"Here's the crazy fast rookie Jacob Rose being the last car to qualify. He looks clean out of turn 4 to start his lap but he's down by close to a tenth. Out of 2, he gains a few hundredths but it's clear the truck is just slightly faster than the current pole time of the 25 truck of Dalton Sargeant. He's currently P4 after his first lap. Jacob goes into turn one but shuts the truck off. Why?"
"Saving the truck. Having one less lap on it could be a major thing."
**time skip to before the start**
The pre-race ceremonies have ended and the drivers are in their trucks and drive out of pit lane for the start. After 3 laps behind the pace car, the race is green! Dalton leads into turn one as Jacob tries to drop to the bottom while Ben Rhodes moves up and they both slide to the top side a crash.
"Around goes the 51 and 41! They both slide up and slam into the wall as Jacob gets slammed into on the side by the 45 of Justin Fontaine!"
"Hey, Jacob are you ok?"
"Yea... Man, that just hurt."
Jacob undoes his belts and removes the window net so he can climb out and observe the damage. There's slight front end damage but major right side damage which caused a major problem with the car being able to run. He then walks to the ambulance that drives him to the infield care center where he gets checked out and is allowed to leave.

(Welp. That was a fast end for Jacob. Anyways race 2 complete, the next race is the Stratosphere 200 at Las Vegas)
