It's 2:30 in the morning, Jacob and Nick are at a hotel just north of Indianapolis. Jacob suddenly shoots up with a look of fear on his face... it happened again. The same nightmare played out for the 4th time in the past 2 weeks. He sees the white flag at Talladega, the race was going perfectly, this was his ticket into the final 4 and a perfect momentum boost. Down the back, he blocks aggressively maintaining his lead. Through the trioval, the truck behind him turns him across the track sending him into the air, he bounces off of the other truck awkwardly and nails the catch fence pointing towards the stands. The truck rips around hitting the rear before being flung back out onto the track upside down. He was still awake and he could see the damage done to his body. His right leg was destroyed and his left was pinned by something in the cockpit. The wind was knocked out of him and he has the worst headache of his life. He was able to take his helmet off before the nightmare ends.
"Goddamnit." He mutters. Rose closes his eyes and lays back down.
