"After an insane finish at Las Vegas, the truck series got a few weeks off before heading to the half a mile track of Martinsville. During practice, the 2 truck of Cody Coughlin wheel-hopped into turn 3 and spun damaging the truck forcing the team to switch to a backup making him start in the 32nd the last position. Jacob Rose looked dominate like always but a rival he's dealt with for his whole career stole the pole away from him. Justin Haley in the 24 truck scored his first career pole while taking a track record for the NCWTS. With 3 races in the books, it's clear that the 51 truck will be a title favorite. But the 52 of Stewart Friesen and the 24 of Justin Haley will try to say otherwise. We now go trackside for the start of this 250-mile race. Who will take home the grandfather clock this year?"
Jacob Rose in different colors than normal running the black and orange JBL truck with Sirius XM as an assistant primary sponsor. To his left is a taunting black and yellow Chevy next to him in Justin Haley. They drive out of turn 4 and take the green.
"Green flag is out! Haley and Rose run side by side out of turn 2. The 51 gets a nose ahead but the 24 makes it up through the corner. Haley leads lap 1!"
"Ok Jacob, it's a 250 lap race. Don't get too aggressive early on. We need to save the brakes."
"I know. But this rivalry has existed for close to 10 years and we can finally settle it right now."
"Ok, just don't overdo the limits of your truck."
"Rose and Haley are still side by side after 7 laps trading the laps being lead. Right behind them is the 97 truck of Jessie Little making his first career start. These three drivers are rushing in the youth movement of NASCAR. After 10 laps, Rose breaks free and takes the lead from Haley. Little tries to follow the 51 but doesn't have enough time as Haley closes the door on him."
Jacob starts to pull away slightly when the caution flag waves.
"Caution is out on lap 26 as the 20 of Austin Hill spins out of turn 2."
"Yellow is out. How's the truck?"
"Tight in 4. I'm having to fight it to turn."
"10-4. We'll adjust accordingly."
Most of the field pits but the 13 of Myatt Snider stays out forcing Jacob to restart on the high side.
"The 13 leads the field to green flag! Rose charges on the outside as Haley splits Snider out of turn 2! Three wide down the back as the 13 back out forcing another 24 v.s. 51 battle into turn 3! Rose again defends on the outside. This time Haley clears Rose into turn 1."
**skipping to 10 to go because the whole race is basically this lmao**
"10 laps are left as Justin Haley holds off another charge from the 51. Both drivers have led over 110 laps with the only other laps are the 3 Snider lead under yellow. Through turn 4 once again as Haley blocks low but Jacob goes high as they run side by side again! Rose gets the runoff of 2 and clears the 24! 8 laps are left as Rose leads 120th lap this race! Into turn 1 Haley waits for a move. Into turn 3 Haley gives the bumper to Rose forcing him to give the lead-up!"
"Keep your head down Jacob. There's still 6 laps left."
"It's all or nothing now. I'm not going to sit around and wait anymore if he wants to use bumpers now, I'll happily do the same."
"5 laps left as the 24 and 51 battle into turn 1! Rose waits until turn 3 and gives Haley the bumper as he did to him 2 laps ago! Rose and Haley are going to continue this until there's no bumper left! 4 laps are left now! Whatever remorse those drivers had is gone now! Haley dives to the bottom through turn 3 and slams into the side of the 51 with 3 laps left now! Rose holds on the outside through turns 1 and 2! Down the straightaway, they collide once again! This is allowing Jessie Little get closer! They take 2 laps left! Into turn 1 Jacob gets the edge and clears the 24! Into turn 3 Haley moves him but Jacob still hold on the outside as they take the white flag! Haley clears Rose out of 2 but Jacob goes to move him but gets a shot from Jessie Little! The 97 passes the 51 but not quite the 24 as Justin Haley wins his first career race at Martinsville!"(That's Martinsville. Man, even writing this made me stressful. (Might be because I'm watching the Gateway truck race rooting for Justin Haley and Christian Eckes (who just got his first career stage win! Let's go!) The next race is at Dover. I'll get that out Monday or Sunday night)
