We stayed 'til the end of the shift and left. John hailed a taxi and had it take us to the ports of Ferndale. We got out and I spotted the key. I followed the clues to a shipyard. "It looks abandoned," Raef commented. I nodded and we walked across the bridge. It started to come undone and I pulled John to the other side. "Are you okay," I asked. He nodded. "Thank you," he said a bit quietly. We snuck around and found an entrance. There were deviants all over the place below us. I pulled Raef behind the ledge so we couldn't be seen. They started singing. "That's Hold On," Raef commented quietly. I was pulled from behind and John shoved the person off grabbing my arm and ran. "John we're going to get lost," I said and scanned the hall. I pulled him through a sharp turn to the stairs leading up. I heard foot steps behind us. There was a ledge. I ran back and jumped across. "John I've got you," I said. He ran across and I caught him pulling him up. We scrambled to get up and ran hiding behind a dumpster. John held me close to him to make sure neither of us stuck out. The risk of being caught decreased and I grabbed Johnathon's hand whispering, "Do you trust me?" "Do I have a choice," he asked. "Not if you want to get out of here," I said. I preconstructed a path. The androids will draw fire this path leaves only me with one nonfatal gunshot. I grabbed his wrist and took off. My arm jolted as we dove into the water.

I swam and brought us under a ledge and into a secure place to hide. "Now what," Johnathon asked. "How well do you swim," I asked. Dumb question he's won SCCs. "I used to compete. Why," he asked. I knew that... How did I know that? There are no files on it. "We need to swim across," I said. "You're shot," he said. "It's nonfatal," I dismissed.

Relationship status: John- friend

"I'm fine," I replied and swam back in. We made our way across and got out. "That was insane," he said smiling like a kid. "We found Jericho," I said as we walked onto the side of the road. "We fucking found Jericho. In Ferndale of all places. I smiled at him. "You're pretty cool," he said. "I didn't know androids could be cool," I stated. "You're not like most androids. If you didn't have the LED or blue armband I'd never think you weren't human," he stated. "Thank you," I replied as more of a question. "Not that being an android is bad or anything," he added. "I can not get offended detective," I stated. "Detective may I ask you a personal question," I asked. "Sure," he replied. "Why were you taken out of undercover your statistics are near perfect," I asked. "I was deemed unfit mentally. I uh- I watched a kid die and the PTSD was getting in the way of my recent cases," he said holding back tears. "I'm sorry. I didn't know," I apologized. "It's fine. It was just something that stuck with me. I had grown really close to the kid and not being able to save him, it killed me," John explained. We neared town.

I spotted something in the distance. "Ally," I heard detective Raef shout. He pushed me out of the way and was shot in the crosshair. "N-No," I shouted catching him. I looked up and the person ran off. I called 911. "911 what's your emergency," the operator asked. "This the LE 700 prototype assigned the police station here in Ferndale. An off duty officer was just shot I need an ambulance I'm starting first aid now," I reported calmly and scanned him. "No no don't die on me," I said as the line went dead. I started to patch up the wound and his heart stopped. If I do chest compressions he'll only lose more blood and the wound will get worse. "Come on," I stressed. He was gone. The ambulance arrived and I reverted into autopilot. I was reassigned to Detroit for tomorrow. I sat in the taxi and felt myself mourn him. I couldn't save him. How am I supposed to work this case if I can't keep my own partners safe?

It was morning now. I didn't know I could do that. I had been so caught up in my thoughts I lost time. My taxi drove by a road. I saw a man hanging off as another pulled him up. I pulled into the Detroit Police station and received access to pass. I was told to wait for Lt Anderson and his partner who were working a case. I sat at the empty Desk in front of lieutenant Hank's. He walked in accompanied by an android. I scanned the android. Another prototype. RK 800. "Am I being replaced," he asked as his LED flickered red. "No, I was reassigned to Detroit due to complications at my previous precinct. My apologies for any inconvenience," I said trying to stay formal. John was gone and now I'm supposed to be monitored by another prototype? "Complications," Hank asked. "My mission could not be completed because of my partner's passing," I said doing my best to hide everything.
