We were sent out to get clothes to blend in and I got changed. I looked down and immediately started to adjust. It was odd and constricting not to be in jeans or suit pants. I was able to pull on athletic shorts under the dress need I start running. I had a pair of flats in my bag so I could rip off the heels. This was also if I needed to chase someone. I applied the makeup and walked out of the bathroom. Somehow I was the first ready. I leaned against the wall with my arms crossed against my chest. I received a few joking whistles and flipped them off. "Anyone gives you a hard time and I'll beat them up," John said walking towards the coffee room. "Thanks. I mean I can handle myself, but I appreciate the sentiment," I teased. He shook his head chuckling and walked into the break room to make coffee. Connor finally walked out and I glanced over and smiled.

I chuckled and walked over to him. "You having troubles with the tie," I asked. "I'm pretty sure I have this on right," he said with a shrug. "Have you ever had to tie your own tie, or did you just adjust it," I asked. "That obvious," he asked. I stifled a laugh. "Just a bit," I replied walking over. "I'm almost your height in these," I commented. "Key being almost," he teased. "You'll be on your own with this tie if you keep mouthing off," I commented. "No please help me," he said. I chuckled and buttoned up the rest of his shirt. I straightened out his tie and looked up to meet his eyes. He looked like he was searching my face for some sort of answer. I heard Hank open the door and cleared my throat straightening out the shoulders of his jacket. "There all set," I choked out and walked to follow Hank towards his car. "I hate this fucking monkey suit," Hank complained. "But you lean up so well," I countered. He just grumbled pouting

We pulled into the estate. "Alessa, Hank, Connor. So glad you could all make it," Elijah greeted. Hank had wire on, but Connor and I didn't need one since our memory systems were just recordings. I saw a few girls flock to Connor and felt a small sinking feeling in my gut. I probably am just over thinking our little encounters.

Help.

Sorry Connor. You're on your own.

No Alessa. Alessa I will get you back for this.

I just smiled at him and winked. He shook his head smiling. I walked deeper into the crowd and Elijah found me. "Alessa," he said smiling. "Hi," I said. "This is Katherine Woods. She was the CEO I recommended and was finally put in six months after I left," Kamski introduced, "Kat this is Alessa. She's like a daughter to me." I shook her hand smiling, "It's so nice to meet you." "It's great to meet you too," she answered. "I hate to bring business to a party, but I work with the Detroit Police and we've been stuck on a case for a while. Is there anything you can tell me about Cyberlife that just struck you as odd or that you didn't know about until after your time there," I asked. "Actually yes. By the time I had been made CEO I actually had no control over the company. I was just a talking head. They constantly undermined me and went behind my back. It's why I left," she started to explain. I looked at her curiously. How is she still alive after being so openly aggravated and negative towards Cyberlife?
