"You can't save everyone Ally," Connor argued in the car. "I can try," I snapped back. "You did try. He wasn't savable," Connor argued. "Everyone is savable," I countered. We walked back into camp and met with North. "How is he," I asked. "Not good. His thirium regulator is almost non functional and we have none compatible to him. "He only has two minutes until his systems completely shut down. I can last up to 5 minutes with a nonfunctional thirium regulator. Mine is a universal use. It'll be compatible with his systems," I suggested. "Alessa no," Connor protested. "I can take any spare and will be fine indefinitely. At least until we can get more patch up parts," I replied. "It's fine I'll be okay," I reassured. I looked to North and she pulled out Markus's as I pulled out my own.
System shut down in 5 minutes.
I put in Markus's and the shutdown timer came up.
System shut down in 6 minutes.
"Connor I need you to find a spare. Any one will work," I explained. "All that's left are GK 600s," Josh explained. "That's fine I can walk and run as normal just no fighting or parkour," I half joked. Connor rushed off and Markus sat up. "What are you doing," Markus asked. "Hero stuff," I joked sitting against the storage container. Everything was glitchy. "I can't let you sacrifice yourself for me," Markus stated. "It's not. Just something to keep you going 'til we can find adequate replacements," I shrugged. Connor came back with only 2 minutes left. "You sure do take your time," I joked and pulled out the broken thirium regulator.
System shut down in 30 seconds.
"Connor," I said strained with the system jump.
System restored
"Alessa come on. Wake up!" "What's happening?" "The system jumped once the regulator was removed."
Systems severely damaged
"Alessa!"
Systems loading.
I lurched forwards. My heart was beating again. "Jesus christ," North muttered. Connor wrapped his arms around me burying his head in my shoulder. "See like I said. Everything is fine," I replied. "You were dead," Markus argued. "Temporarily," I corrected. "Fuck. You need to stop doing this shit," Connor replied sitting up. "Sorry, can't make any promises," I replied. I looked up to see the news. "Unfortunately we could not discuss the right of the androids today as hoped. The leader Markus had an attempted assassination on him that failed. The same prototype made and sent by Cyberlife tried to take my life today. Had it not been for two courageous androids I would not be able to stand here before you. As soon as Markus, the real Markus is fully recovered. I would love to speak with him and his associates about the rights of androids," the president spoke.
"You two saved the president," North asked. "Yeah," I said with a smile. The broadcasters played the footage. The news station was covering what had happened and played the CCTV. I watched the elevator where it morphed to Raef's face. "I didn't know you could fight like that," North said to me. "I was programmed for law enforcement," I said with a shrug. I looked to see Connor smile proudly at me. "I think you should address the people and let them know you're okay. They're starting to get unruly," Josh informed. Markus nodded and we all walked up to let Markus stand. I pulled my hair back into the regular low ponytail.
I'm really glad you're okay
Thanks Connor. I wouldn't be without you.
"But I wouldn't be here right now without North or Alessa. And had it not been for Alessa and Connor the president would want nothing to do with androids," Markus stated.
