The four boys sat quietly in the living room, sitting in a circle on the floor. The air was a little tense because everyone was nervous about what was going to happen in the next few minutes. Tay had a hand resting on New's thigh to comfort him, the knowledge of this conversation making him so anxious making the older boy worry. Gun didn't look great either, but he was staring at New like he was waiting for something bad to happen. That didn't help calm Tay.

"Okay, let's just get this over with. You guys know I'm gay. I came out to my parents in the last few months of my last year in high school and they- well, they didn't take the knowledge well. I was kicked out, I was called horrible names. I was shunned from the family. They called me a mistake, a disgrace. They hated me," New's eyes filled with tears, and he looked up at the ceiling to take a deep breath and attempt to calm down. Tay frowned and scooted closer to his boyfriend, moving his hand to wrap his arm around the younger's waist. New smiled at him slightly and continued.

"I have an older sister, her name was Nin. Or had an older sister? I don't know, anyway. She and I were very close, she was even super close to Gun. She meant the world to me. She was my best friend. When I came out, I watched her face change from worry to just absolute disgust. She called me a faggot and said that I didn't deserve to live if I liked men. I was young, and she was my rock, so I believed her. I believed I didn't deserve life." The room was silent, and New let a few tears slip. Tay felt himself close to crying, he felt that familiar sting in his eyes. New was treated like this way before he knew him. Yet, still, Tay felt like he failed him. Tay felt like he should have protected him at his worst time.

New stayed quiet, trying to quell his tears back and continue the story, but he knew he couldn't. He looked at Gun desperately, even if the smaller boy looked broken to bits as well. Gun nodded and collected himself, staring silently as Tay brought his boyfriend into his lap and the other placed his face in his neck. He was reminded of how Tay comforted him exactly like this on the day that New was attacked. Tay was good for New.

"New and I were close, but not nearly as close as we are now. Like he said, Nin was his best friend, but I was a close second. When he was kicked out, I was in a convenience store close to his house and I saw him attempt to walk out into traffic. I stopped him, and I saved his life. I brought him home, here, and then this home became his home. My moms liked him a lot, so seeing him like that made them want to keep him safe. So he started living with us. That time I caught him wasn't the last time New decided he was worthless, but it was the only time he was alone for it," Gun wiped his tears, jumping a bit when Off placed a hand on his thigh like Tay had done for New previously. He looked heartbroken, Tay sporting a similar destroyed look as well. Gun sighed and decided to wrap things up to save them all from a mental hell.

"Nin had a boyfriend that never liked New. He was jealous of how close they were and always took it out on him. His name is Chai, and sadly, he's in the same faculty as New. Once Chai found out New was gay, he made it his personal life mission to destroy him. This was the only time he's gotten physical. It probably won't be the last," he admitted with a sad, forced smile on his face as more tears dripped down his chin. Off sighed and pulled him into his chest, hugging him tightly, before letting him go.

"N'New?" Off's voice was choked, and he slowly made his way over to the silently sobbing boy. New picked his head up and glanced at him. Off furrowed his brows, and asked quietly, "can I hug you?" When New nodded, Off wrapped him in his arms tightly and sighed. He didn't have the contact for long, and once he pulled away he offered the boy a sad smile and ruffled his hair.

"We are family now, don't forget that. You don't need them. You have us now," he nodded his head once like he was sure of himself and positive of what he just said before he made his way back to Gun and wrapped the smaller boy back in his arms. The two of them stayed stuck together just like Tay and New, all of them feeling the burning need for some sort of comfort.

"Thank you, P'Off. I really appreciate it."
