Chapter 22 || Not so easy

"About the thing you told me yesterday, I talked with the Police Chief and he said, the Mayor's step daughter is the culprit. They closed the case since the Mayor demanded the case be closed or he would fire everyone." Mother said.

She was there standing in front of the door. She is fast, I mean just now we were eating our breakfast and now she was already beside the door.

"May--mayor's step-daughter?"

She nodded her and opened her mouth to say but a car honk beat her.

"Go, your boyfriend is here." Did she just smile at me. I think I saw it wrong, maybe it was evil smile but I'm sure I saw her smile nicely.

"Hey, what happened? You look like you have seen a ghost." Sehun said as he started the car made our way outside the gate towards the school.

"It would have been better if I saw a ghost," I muttered through my breathe still not believing that she actually smiled at me. All through out the car ride I was thinking of possible reasons and I finally came with one. No make it two; one she ate a wrong pill or two; she is kicking me out of the house and both my father and brother agreed to it.

"What happened to her, Sehun. I swear if you said anything to make her this pale, I am going to kill you."

I could hear them talking but my mind was focused on one thing, mother smiling. Why?

"Baby, tell me what happened?"

He took my hands in his and took it near his lips and kissed it. I couldn't ignore the puppy eyes he was giving me. That damn puppy eyes.

"I clearly saw her smiling at me," I said as I released my hands from Sehun and took it near my mouth's end and curving it upwards.

"This is smile right? Why did she smile at me?"

"Who?"

"Mother,"

A gasp followed by and all my beloved friends were cupping their mouth dramatically.

"Leave it, you guys don't think I am telling the truth. Lets go to class, hunnie," I dragged Sehun towards the class but Jisoo stopped us from going.

"Sehun, let me borrow your girlfriend for a minute, nope sorry for a day okay?" And without waiting for Sehun to reply she dragged me to the class. But we both clearly heard Sehun saying 'I couldn't even give her a morning kiss, damn it' to which I had gone beet root.

That idiot don't know just when to stop.

"Okay, now coming back to the topic, where are our souvenirs? Huh," She said followed by Rosé and Lisa.

"Hah, you didn't even call me when I was in New Zealand, why will I buy you guys souvenirs?" It was my turn to smirk now seeing all three of them face's fall.

"I was kidding, I will give it you guys later evening if you guys come with me and help me." I told them.

"For what?"

"Sehun's birthday!" I said clapping my hands and already formulating a plan in my head. The three of them looked at me like I have lost mind and then suddenly Jisoo stood up looking like she have seen a ghost. Was this a concept today?

"Jisoo, what happened?" I asked her feeling scared she might be sick.

"Jendukie, that girl said something about tomorrow." Who is that girl that made Jisoo feel so angry.

"Who?  --ouch, that hurts Lisa!" I snapped at her when she slapped my head.

"Hara!"

"Hara? What did she say?" I said and could feel the coldness at it. I wanted her gone from here. I didn't want her to ruin my relation with Sehun or anyone.

"Go to your seats, I will start the class. Turn to page no.13 of Korean History." The teacher said cutting Jisoo off. I wondered where Sehun was. He will surely get a detention and Hara that girl is not seen everywhere.

"Did you see Sehun, Kai?" I asked the latter not having seen Sehun from morning itself. That boy will be the death of me always disappearing, well that, I was exaggerating but I think his clingy personality is starting to rub on me.

"I don't know, I haven't seen him since Hara dragged him.. -shit!" The boy's eyes went as wide as a saucers glinting with guilt. It seemed as if it wasn't meant for me to know.

"Hara? Kim Jong In where did she take him?!" I asked him my tone deadly. Just the mention of Hara's name riled me up. Back in New Zealand after all the stunt she pulled, I was sure she would be expelled from school but she being the Mayor's daughter escaped that one too.

Wait a minute. Why do I feel like I am forgetting something?

"Jendukie, mom wants us to come house straight today. She and dad has something to tell us." Suho said when reached us holding his phone next to him.

"Mayor's daughter." I whispered recalling mother talking about it this morning. I had forgotten about it since I saw her smiling.

"What?" Jisoo said her eyebrows scrunched.

"Jade's accident! Oh god, Jisoo, Hara tried to kill her, goodness how could I not relate it. Sehun, where is Sehun? Where the hell did Oh Sehun go? Kim Jong In, I am warning you where did that girl take him!?"

"Uhmm.. That I.. God, Jendukie I am sorry, I don't know. But I saw her taking him outside the school."

I quickly took my phone and dialed his number. The first one got connected to his voice message. I kept on trying hoping he would at least pick up the phone or message me he was okay. The second and the third too went to his voice message.

By then I was pacing down the corridor and most of the students were looking at me like I have lost my mind. I was loosing my mind though, Sehun was not picking his phone and god knows where Hara took her. Anyhow she was going to rot in jail.

How can she do that? She could have at least sent Jade to the hospital but no, she fucking fled the country. Bitch.

I didn't how many minutes have passed by. I didn't even go to the class when the hall monitor warned us, they didn't go either. All of us were trying to reach Sehun.

He is going to get it from me, I swear.

"Hello? Sehun? Sehun! God dammit, why didn't you pick your phone!? Jendukie has being going ballistic, I am surprised your hasn't blasted yet." That stung. He didn't receive my phone but he called Kai? He didn't even message me saying he was fine. Guess he was enjoying with that girl.

"Here talk to her. Sehu- hey, Jendukie where are you going? Jendukie? Jen! Hey!"

I didn't look back, I didn't want to. Coward. that's what I was. I was afraid of talking to Sehun. I am afraid it may stain our relationship.

Thinking of Hara, it made it impossible to forget the past.
