"Wow, DeMar is a freaking hoe. He really fucked Tara," a girl commented at lunch. I whip my head in her direction and don't recognize her. In fact, I have never seen her in my life.
"Fat ass Tara?" A guy in front of her asks. The girl nods her head and he shakes his head. "I been trying to get with her since freshman year." I cringe and turn away from them.
Hearing that made my heart ache a tiny bit. As I keep repeating, I wasn't sure how I felt about him. I was just trying to put any thought of liking him in the back of my brain and heart for the moment.
"You okay, Ella?" Paul asks as he stuffs a greasy chicken tender in his mouth. I wasn't sure how he was able to eat such nasty and oily food without getting bad acne.
I nod, "Yeah, I'm cool." He offers one his chicken tenders and I politely decline his offer.
"Can I take you out on a real date tonight?" He asks and looks at me. His eyes are gentle and sweet.
I smile looking into him, "Of course." He chuckles and looks down at my lips and I shake my head. "Not here, Paul."
"Please." I shake my head and he pouts.
"Ay, look who it is! My man," DeAndre yells and stands up. He meets DeMar at the beginning of our table and daps him up. DeMar fights back a smile but then eventually cracks one.
"I heard some wild things about what you did," Draymond commented and dapped him up as well. He looked at Paul and I and gave me a suppressed smile. I returned one as he sat down. He was about four people away from me but their conversation was loud.
"You ain't hear nothing," DeMar laughs.
"Heard you had her up all night," Dray says. DeMar shakes his head.
"Not all night but something like that."
"How many rounds?"
"At least four."
"Damn!" Kyrie yells. "I should've hit it when I got the chance."
"You should've," DeMar nods his head. "She was so good, man!"
"Do you want to get out of here?" Paul asks.
I shake my head, "No." He stares at me and I rub my tongue against my cheek.
"She was making me tired on the real. I was starting to cramp up and everything." The boys begin laughing. "She taste good and she gives it back good."
My cheeks begin to heat up and Paul notices I'm getting uncomfortable, "I'm leaving, Paul. Don't follow me either, please."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, thank you," I say and get up. I make eye contact with Kevin and he gets up and follows me.
I push the rusty door open and exit the cafeteria. Kevin is hot on my heels and I slow down to meet up with him.
"I ain't know DeMar was-"
"It's fine."
Kevin sighs and walks along next to me, "How is Haro?"
"He's back," I say. "He stayed there for a week."
"That's good, and how are you?"
I nod my head slowly and look up at him, "I'm good. I really am. I'm just happy that Haro got cleared and everything is slowly getting back to what it was before the incident."
Kevin nods, "That's great-"
"What cha'll doing out here?" Reggie calls out from in front of us. He has a black cap on backwards and his large frame towers over me as he brings me into a hug.
