"What do you mean you would have spared me?"

"Did you think we'd kill you?"

"Yes!"

"Why would we? What would we have to gain from your death?"

"Revenge." Muttered Nam. Fly tried to elbow her, but she shot her hands out, water wrapping around Fly's elbow and pushing it away. She just rolled her eyes.

"Nothing to gain." Ana continued.

"But Nerezza said..."

"Nerezza said a lot of stuff! I bet it's all a load of bullcrap."

"Fly!"

"It's true! She told Ari that she was just leading us around in circles, but Lucia said that she so loved showing off she was probably leading us the right way!"

"Fly! You swore you wouldn't tell!"

"Ari, what... What is she talking about?!"

Ari's eyes watered. "I don't want to talk about it!" She rushed off, her bag banging against her back.

Fly looked at the other girls. They all tried to talk telepathically to Ari, but she didn't listen to them. Not only that, she blocked them out of her mind so they couldn't even try and talk.

Adol smirked. "For that juicy but of emotion, I'll give you another little hint. The road from here to Deephenge is straight and long, with no trees to hide you when you fly. Be careful." He laughed evilly, and linked back into the shadows.

"What are we going to do? It'll take us days to get there on foot! And I can't make us fly because, like Adol said, there's nothing to cover us."

"I have an idea." Fly walked towards the woods. "Go find Ari. I've got a plan." She stood at the edge of the trees, and put her hand on one of the tree trunks. Then she whistled into the forest. After a moment, the sound of distant thunder could be faintly heard coming through the forest. After a moment, four horses burst through the trees: a white one; a black one; a brown one; a grey-near-pale-green one.

She leapt onto the last one and walked it forward. "We're like the four horsemen of the Apocalypse." Then she rode off, trying to find Ari. Nam leapt onto the brown one, and it almost bucked her off. She put her hand gently on its side and walked it slowly forward. Ana jumped onto the black one, and it managed to buck her. She took a deep breath and put her hand on it's neck. She then put her other hand on the white one and led it onwards.

"Thanks for the help, Nam!" She called sarcastically. Suddenly, Ari appeared from nowhere and leapt onto the white horse. It tried to throw her off, but she wrapped her hands around it's neck and whispered gently into it's ear. It stopped almost immediately and she found it easy to control him.

Fly rode up on her horse. "Come on, let's get some saddles. I saw a horse wear shop just back there. They'll be a bit easier to control with saddles and bridles, but they are wild." They went back down the street until they found the shop. It was small, but it had saddles, reigns and bridles. They fitted the horses out and climbed on. They managed to steer them to the connecting road between the two towns, then launched them full speed over the gravel road to Deephenge.
