"What don't I know?"
Nerezza coughed, her voice cracking. "There's no more need for you. I'm defeated. We will all fade back into the earth that you created, all those millennium ago."
"No!" Cried Nam, looking up.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know, honestly!"
"It's okay." Ari put her hand gently on my arm.
"I need to leave Becky a message. I can't risk calling her." Fly ran for her bag, grabbing her phone. As if on cue, the girls and Nerezza changed out of their Elementor forms, trails of light swirling around them.
"It's started!" Laughed Nerezza.
"Grab your bags girls. You might need them if we ever wake up again."
"Oh, you will wake up!" Nerezza plunged her nails into the dirt. A patch of darkness spread. "I've sown a seed of darkness. And it will be reaped."
The four girls linked hands as soon as Fly finished her text. Then, as the light trails reached their chests, they began to fall. Eyes began to close and they fell into darkness.
I soon followed.
