!!!!!! So I've changed my mind, instead of Hope being 10 she will be thirteen and going into eighth grade!!!!!!

Josh was... Complicated. I mean, he was a good guy and all but he was just so darn confusing. He began to explain things in a way I had never thought of, telling me that Jen was learning to, and I had to give her another chance. Of corse I that that remark be forgotten, yes, I was very good at holding a grudge.

"Ok.... So you came all the way here just to have a nice chat about Jen?" I asked Josh.

"Listen, Jen is very upset right now. She doesn't know where you are, if you're ok, or anything like that. She won't talk to anyone, so please, just think about what I said ok kiddo?" Josh asked. I nodded.

"Ok well I should probably be heading out but, nice seeing you I guess." I waved at Josh as he drove away. I sat back down with a sigh. Great. Suddenly something slammed into the back of my head. I gasped aloud in pain. I brought my hand to the back of my head, my head felt sticky so I looked at my fingers. They were covered in blood. I winced and squeezed my eyes shut. Ouch. Suddenly someone was beside me slurring a apologies left and right.

"It's fine" I said looking up to see what had hit me. A basketball. Perfect. The person who'd thrown was a boy sanding near me. He had blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. He looked genuinely concerned. I waved a hand at him.

"I'm fine" I said quietly taking the rest if him in. He was where ing red basketball shoes and a red SnapBack. His clothes were simple sports gear. He looked at me apologetically.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't aiming for you-" he began but I cut him off.

"No seriously I'm fine!" I exclaimed. He raised his eyebrows at me.

"No, your not. And your coming home with me so I can fix you up, by the way, I'm Chris." I laughed sarcastically and soon regretted it because it send and pounding headache my way.

"Listen Chris, what makes you think I'm gonna go to your house? You just hit me in the head with a ball possibly causing internal brain damage. Plus, I don't even know you!" I reminded him. He looked at me thoughtfully. Then he grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the park. I followed reluctantly. I mean, I didn't really have a choice did I? I might have a concussion if you think about it. My arm felt like it was being ripped from its socket.

"Chris slow down!!!" I said. Of course he ignored me, only going faster each time I complained. My head throbbed, and by the time I could process where we were, a medium sized brick house loomed over me. Chris bent down behind a bush, hold up a key when he stood. He unlocked the front door with a click, and beckoned for me to follow. His house was pretty normal. It's was very messy, but normal. Toys lay strewn everywhere. From video games to dolls and trucks.

"Its a little messy. I have a little brother and a little sister, their five." Chris said.

"It's fine."I replied. Chris led me up a flight of stairs and down a long hallway which led to a big oak door, he knocked timidly.

"Come in!" A high pitched voice said. Chris opened the door and pulled me along with him as he entered.

"Mom, at the park I hit this girl on the head with a basketball by accident. She bleeding a lot." He said urgently. I looked down in embarrassment, only to see the ground covered in little droplets of blood. 'Wow,'I thought. 'whoever was here first must have been hurt.' Then I realized, it was my blood. Oops. The lady, who I supposed to be Chris's mom, gasped.

"On no" she cried. The lady grabbed my hand and led me over to a bed. I sat down.

"what's your name sweetie?" She asked.

"Hope." I replied. The room was beginning to spin.

"Well hope we'll clear you're head up as best we can ok? You get some rest. I closed my eyes. This day did not go as planned. Chris was then by my side.

"My moms a doctor so, you'll be ok." He said awkwardly. I smiled. His mom rushed back into the room carrying a wet towel and some pills. She handed me the pills which I guessed I was supposed to eat. So I did, they tasted horrible. I frowned. Bleh. Disgusting. The lady pressed the damp towel to the back of my head gently. It felt a lot better. At least now my head didn't feel like it was in an oven!
