Steven's POV

It's been 4 years after I broke up with Margarette.

Flashback

I woke up on the bed without anyone beside me. I tried to find her in every part of my penthouse but she is no where to be found.

Nagising ako na wala na siya sa tabi ko. I tried checking her closet in the guest room but there's no sign of her. No more smell of that sweet lavander perfume. No one's going to cook breakfast for me. No one's gonna ask if I'm okay from the office. No one's going to seduce me anymore...because she already left me.

Sinukuan niya na ako. I called my PI to investigate and find her but he said there are no traces of her.

Hanggang sa dumating si Margarette mula sa ilocos.

"Honey! I have some pasalubong for you!" saad niya sabay hahalik sana sa aking labi ng umiwas ako kaya tumama na lamang ito sa aking pisngi sanhi para kumunot ang noo niya.

"What's wrong, hon?" tanong niya sa akin na may halong sakit sa kanyang mga mata.

"Nothing." matabang kong tugon sa kanya. Tumayo ako sa pagkaka-upo sa sofa at dumiretsyo sa kusina upang uminom ng tubig.

"Tell me hon, what's wrong?" makulit niya paring tanong at sinundan pa talaga ako sa kusina.

"I. Said. Nothing." tiim bagang kong sagot sa kanya.

"You're lying, tell me. What's wrong?!" galit na din niyang tanong.

"SABI KO WALA!!! NOTHING!! OKAY?!!" nakakairita na talaga siya. She's getting to my nerves.

Nakita kong napaatras siya at umiiyak na.

"S-sorry h-hon...I-I did not mean to irritate you.."  paghingi niya ng sorry sa akin. Hinapit niya ako sa baywang at niyakap.

Tinanggal ko ang pagkapulupot ng braso niya sa aking baywang. "You know what? Let's stop this whole damn thing!" pasigaw kong saad sa kanya.

"W-what?"  naluluha at utal niyang tanong. "You're kidding right? you can't just leave me like that, Steven!" habang sinusubukan abutin ang kamay ko.

"WHAT?! Is this about that f*cking b*tch?! Why?! Did you fall for her?!!" galit na galit niyang tanong. Napaiwas naman ako ng tingin.

"DID YOU?!! DAMN IT!!! ANSWER ME?!!"

"YES! YOU WANT TO KNOW, RIGHT?! I DID FALL FOR HER AND I KEEP ON FALLING EVERY SINGLE D*MN DAY!!" pag-amin ko sa kanya.

"HOW DARE YOU!!!" naramdaman kong tumama ang palad niya sa kaliwang pisngi ko and I did nothing because I know I was a jerk not only to her but also to Joana.

Naramdaman ko ang panginginig niya dahil sa pag-iyak habang hinahampas ako sa dibdib ng kamao niya. I loved her but I love Joana and I hate myself for hurting her.

Hinawakan ko ang magkabilang braso niya upang pakalmahin siya at matitigan sa mata. Patuloy pa din siya sa pag-iyak. "I loved you but I love her." dahan-dahan siyang napaluhod sa sahig habang humahagulgol.

"I gave you everything.... I love you S-steven, H-how can you do this to me? I thought we're in this together? W-what happened?" pautal-utal niyang tanong sa akin.

"I can't live without her Margarette. I-I thought she can w-wait but she left me. I was a jerk. I feel so stupid for hurting her. Let's stop this you are just hurting yourself."

"FINE!!! But remember Steven! You'll regret this day!" tumayo siya mula sa pag kakaluhod at padabog na lumabas sa aking penthouse.
