When I crossed to the other side, I jogged right up to the front door. I didn't have my keys with me so I knocked.
The door opened to show a puffy-eyed Lena. Was she crying?
"Kira!" She didn't hesitate pulling me into a bone crushing hug. "Ow, Lena I can't breathe!"
"I'm sorry!" She released me and wiped her eyes. "How did you get out of there?"
"Well I managed to get out of the castle by myself but I had help coming home."
"Who helped you?" She placed a hand on my back and brought me inside.
"Santeri and Allastir."
She gasped. "They got away?! Thank goodness, there are more of us left." The thought of them made a smile visible on her face. But unfortunately I would have to tell her something that will make her frown again.
I took her hand in mine and guided her to sit down on the large couch in our living room. I also called for Aleri cause she needed to hear about this.
"What is the matter Kira?" Aleri asked me.
"It's about Ciera's plans for the future. He wants to eliminate the universe, leaving only Nebularis behind." I paused to look at their reactions. Aleri held her head low and Lena was wearing a pained expression on her face. Should I really go on? I don't like seeing them like this. It hurts me too.
But I can't not tell them."He can't do any of that unless he has my blood. Lena, he also knows about my significance. If he wasn't called for important matters I would still be there - he even left an incision on my neck." I let go of the tears that were threatening my eyes.
Lena's head shot up and let go of my hands to examine my neck. "Kira... Oh when I get my hands on Ceria I will make him pay. Dearly." She said through gritted teeth.
Is that why he sent that rock monster and mannequin to earth? And why Vienohn was trying to give me to him? I have to watch myself more. I can't let myself be vulnerable.
The only ones I can trust are Lena and Aleri.
My mind wonders to my parents. I practically jumped out the chair and ran to the library. They still hadn't woken up. I walked over to them and looked at their faces again. My heart sank.
I reached down to touch my father's hair. It was smooth, but a litte shaggy. The sides of his head were shaved, but slowly growing back. I looked to my mother and smiled. She had long flowing hair and was beautiful. The both of them looked like a match made in heaven.
As much as I would love to meet them in person, it didn't seem like they would be waking up anytime soon.
I enveloped them in crystal that was sourced in my positive energy to hopefully give them a fighting chance of returning to normal.
Getting back to the living room, I see that Lena is stroking Aleri's fur while on her lap. Lena looks like she's muttering something under her breath while staring off intensely into space.
Concerned about her, I ask if she's okay but I only received a small shake of the head from Aleri. I probably shouldn't ask.
I begin to go upstairs when I feel a little weak and tired. A little strange, but I got up the stairs quite fine. It was when I reached my room that I felt immense pain in my neck.
Now that I think about it, I didn't feel any discomfort in the whole time of my escape from Nebularis, so what is this now?
Something was growing in the spot. It was spreading throughout my body, I couldn't scream or even make noise. I fell to the floor writhing in agony.
