"So...you are the only one in your family that isn't in Ceria's hold?" I bring in a tray of ice cold juice while talking to Sol. Aleri nudges my leg with her paw and I place a small cup and fill it for her on the floor.

"Yes, I wanted to bring the sun key to the Princess before he completely took over Sirius. Ah, thank you." Sol takes the drink and sips it sparingly.

"Wow, what is this called? It's a little sour but sweet," She gasps, smiling. "Is this earth's lemonade?"

"Yeah, it is." I grin in return.

"If that's the case then this is terrible, the lemons on Sirius have much more of a detectable flavour and they aren't so...watery?"

"Well this is Earth's lemonade, and it doesn't compare to the one on Sirius because they. Are. Completely. Different." through gritted teeth, Lena defends her handmade lemonade.

"I can see that." She continues drinking nonchalantly while the ruby-eyed guardian silently fumes.

Sol decided to stay for a little while longer, her reasons unclear.

I went into my room and laid on my bed, staring at the ceiling.

Oh how much simpler everything was when I was a child. I could go completely unnoticed without having to worry about the pains of relationships.

It's true, Ive always wanted friends but not like this. I sighed, getting up off my bed to sit at my window. The skies were a nice orange, the clouds kissed by the sun. Trees ruffling in the breeze, and I felt calm; truly content than I've been for a while.

I heard the faint buzzing of a bumble bee in my window, attracted to the purple flowers I placed and watched it feed on nectar. "How lucky you are to be able to take flight."

"What did I tell you? Your pretty little princess could never accept something so tragic as you are." He taunted, attempting to get a reaction out of me.

I knew from the start that it wouldn't end well, but I still let his words persuade me, into thinking there was no way out. Now Kira hates my existence, an wants nothing to do with me.

I really did well for myself.

I stayed quiet, strapped in this incredibly hard chair, unable to do anything while he struck me with painful spells, Valmoran standing in the corner with a smug smile on his face. It's almost unfortunate that he also won't know what awaits his end.

"You will stay here and you will rot for eternity. You can scream for your little kira to come save you. I'm pretty sure she might consider it, the weak willed thing." He leaves the dimly lit cell with no windows.

My clothes were torn, my hair a mess and sore bruises all over my body. I looked like death. But I deserved it, for trusting the personified version of evil.

I went downstairs again into the library to see my parents. They seemed to be doing a whole lot better, they weren't as pale as they were when we had brought them here the first time. I looked over to my mother who had eyes slightly parted open- that was never like that before.

I placed both hands on the crystal coffin to get a better look, to know what I was actually seeing. Out of nowhere my magic circles appeared, and felt the presence of the sun key. The circles were tinted orange, and before I realized it, the coffin disappeared.

"What?!" I whispered. My mother had opened her eyes completely taking in her current surroundings.

"Where..." She turned to me narrowing her eyes, focusing. She gasped, and I had no idea what was happening. "My little star..."

"M-mother?" She took a huge step before pulling me into incredibly warm hug. The only thing I could see was the blurry pink in my vision as tears fell from my eyes.

"I've missed you so much, the last I saw you you still hadn't even said your first words yet and your father...wait, where is he?" She stretched her neck to look past me, slightly frowning when she saw that he was still sleeping.

"Say, how did we get here?"

"Lena, Aleri and I sort of went to Nebularis to save you guys once we saw your location." I dried my eyes.

Sol and Lena burst through the entrance. "I felt Sirius' energy and..." Sol stood there, stunned while Lena had leaped into the air already bawling at the sight of my mother.

"My queen! It's so wonderful to see you again!" She interrupted her own happiness and released my mother.
"I'm sorry, I was just so overwhelmed-"

"Lenaria, it's alright and please call me Sonia." They shared a little moment while I tried to see if I could wake up my dad as  well.

I placed my hands on the crystal coffin like before and waited. Nothing seemed to be happening, so I concentrated harder hoping that even a small glint of orange would appear. Unfortunately I couldn't feel Sirius' power at all. I slumped down, sighing.

I guess it was a one time thing. My mother noticed my disappointment and smiled at me, walking to where I sat. She bent down and picked me up, holding my hands.

"It's alright little star, your father will wake when he's ready." We all left the library and decided to help her catch up on the last 15 years.

She showed much discomfort when we told her about his plans and what had had been done to the people of Nebularis in the absence of the families.

Mother shook her head, eyes shut tightly. "He kept me in a dark room, taking my power and energy slowly-telling me that all of Nebularis was completely lost...he played with my mind for days and soon there was nothing. Then I ended up here."She was trembling in bits as Lena did her best to soothe her. The memories of what occurred to my mom stuck, slowly starting to take effect on her conscience.

Lena took her to our guest room, telling Sol that she could sat in my room for the night.

"Your mother is very beautiful." Sol complimented.

"Thanks." I laid on the floor while the she slept on my bed. It wasn't completely uncomfortable, I actually enjoyed the hardness of the floor.

"Seeing you with your mother makes me wish I could be with my parents as well." she shifted on the bed, "Mama's beautiful frizzy scarlet hair and her golden eyes, Papa's warm hugs and lullabies." She shifted again.

"Always made me wonder - is this a bed or a rock? How do you sleep on this plank every night?"

"Are you always this unhappy?" I ask, smiling from small laughter.

"No, on Mondays my happiness skyrockets." She deadpanned.

"I think it's pretty soft." I shrugged. This bed has been with me through thick and thin, it's become family.

"Well it sucks."

"You could...you know, sleep on the cold hard floor while sleep on the stone bed." I grinned.

"I guess the bed will do." She sighed in annoyance. "Goodnight Kira."

"Goodnight Sol." I reached above my head to turn off my lamp on the night stand that was beside my bed. I turned over till I relaxed and slowly closed my lids.

Then I  felt a twinge of pain in my arm.
