^ Christmas Lights reflected on my wall

I clutched my body tightly wincing from pain that wasn't being inflicted on me. Didn't take much to connect the dots anyway, I knew it was Vienohn that was being hurt. But how do we even have this connection in the first place?

Slowly, I crawled to the door, silently trying not to wake up Sol. I shuffled on my knees down the hall to Lena's room. Thank goodness our house wasn't that big, the distance would have made this worse.

I knocked in the door first to see if she was still awake, no answer. I opened it and shuffled inside. She was afloat in the air, a red aura surrounding her while she sat in lotus position. I hope the wake up isn't a hard fall.

I silently called to her. "Lena, I need you."
I hardly ever use the words to summon her, since she's pretty much always with me. It kinda felt weird, but no as weird as the way she landed on the ground. "Sorry."

She rubbed her hip to soothe the pain. "What's the matter?" She took in my restricted form and came over to me.

"I'm still connected to Vienohn, I can feel what he's feeling. I know that Ceria is harming him when this happens. Can I get an explanation?"

Her lids closed; she was thinking. Then she let out a sigh of frustration. "Why does this have to happen to you now?" She mumbled, but I heard word for word.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean that you've found your star. When Nebularians find their star, they share a bond that lasts for a lifetime. It can be different for everyone, some can hear each others thoughts, share powers, and even-- like yours, they can tell when their other half is in danger or in pain." She puts her head down and rubs her eyes from tiredness.

"I'm-what-but I don't...I don't want this." I slump my shoulders. This definitely has to be some kind of joke that the universe is playing on me. The one who has literally ruined my image of them is supposed to be my soul mate? Well I am still to blame for being so caught up in my silly little world--but this?

"It's usually supposed to happen when you're older but..."

Of course I'm a special case. It's always going to be like that wether I like it or not.
But if he is my 'star'  then maybe I could at least free him from Ceria's grasp. It looks like it gonna be another spontaneous rescue mission. "I-I...I want to save him."

"Ugh, now? It's still night I just wanna sleep." Lena surprisingly whined. Maybe this is something I'll have to do for myself. I shouldn't drag her into this.

"I'm only kidding. Thanks for telling me though." I stood on my feet, the pain dissapearing and walked back to  my room quietly. "Goodnight"

I transformed and stepped to our backyard. If I was going to do this, I had to do it right the first time. I held out both my arms forward.

"What are you up to, princess?" I jumped, Sol came up from behind me.

"Oh...I'm just getting a nightly workout. Ha-ha."

Did she buy it?

"Ah yes, and that's why you transformed into your magical dress, right? I'm not stupid."

She didn't buy it. "From the looks of it, you're attempting to create a portal."

"Yeah. I've never done it before though." I admit.

"How do you expect to pull it off if you're a newbie?" She shook her head.

"Wishful thinking?" I smiled.
