Book 13 - A Dying Moon

"Your powers are increasing Kira. " Lena says to me while whisking a bowl of muffin mixture. "Its great, but the price on your head also grows larger. Ceria won't stop at nothing till he gets what he wants."

"I just wish I don't end up dragging anyone into my problems." I heave a sigh, my head resting on my hand. "I've only ever had one friend and that seems to be a nono, but what am I supposed to do if he keeps coming back?"

"I know it's not easy, at times it can be the right thing to do but then sometimes you have to live a little, taking risks so that nothing in your life becomes wasteful. Especially scince one day you'll have to leave earth to rule Nebularis. Make your time worthwhile."Choking on air seems to be a thing now, cause that's exactly what I'm doing.

"I'll have to what? "

"You know, rule the planet you originate from because it's part of your destiny? You didn't just think that after Ceria's defeat your parents would go on with no heir?" She giggled.

"I mean it wasn't something that I'd thought about like leaving earth for good? Its unusual thinking about it." I admit, I know I didn't have much of an emotional attachment here but I don't think I'd ever be ready to leave the only place I'd ever known. And Shane...

"It was unusual for me to leave Nebularis and come here, but eventually I got used to it, don't worry you will too. Maybe we could take a trip from earth to make you more comfortable." She tried to make it not sound so bad, but I still didn't feel so good about it.

"Hopefully." Is all I say before walking into and turning on the TV in our living room. It was left on the news channel which was talking about something I wish it would not.

"There has recently been a series of events occurring in past weeks of strange objects coming down to earth and wreaking havoc in Sunny Bay. The most recent case is a large mole in a meadow a mile from Crescent street. Police are now search-"

"Oh no... Lena!" She comes quickly and immediately gets the message. "It looks like a little trip away from earth doesnt sound so bad now." I said, I'm not sure how long it will take before people come knocking on our door.

"Couldn't agree more."She laughs nervously. How does Luna sound?"

"Luna? Wheres that?"

"Luna is a kingdom on Nebularis. It's great noble king died in the war against Ceria the day we came to earth." We pack some small trip necessities as Lena fills me in on this other kingdom on my planet.

"What about the queen?" I ask.

"She died in childbirth. It's unfortunate really, Lucine is probably running the kingdom all by herself now with no one to guide her." She sighs, a sad look crossed her face.

"Who's Lucine?"

"She's the princess of Luna, the moon kingdom on nebularis. They are the reason why there's a moon on this earth, and other planets in this star system. They also provide control over all oceans in the universe."

"That's really amazing. Are we going there to meet her?" I'll have to admit, the thought of meeting another princess is exiting, but I've been on earth for so long, would I stand out too much?
