"CLANGG!"

Her bumper is detached from the back and leaves a noisy thud on the road. Her face sinks.

"I'm-really sorry." The driver says as he scratches his head.

She sighs and looks at her watch. It's 8:45 a.m.

Great-Just what I need.

She sighs thinking of her four-year-old son who has to throw a fit so early this morning.

"Come on baby. Get into this clothes will you?"

"No, I don't want to!"

"O- baby, please. Mommy has to go to work." She smiled her most cheer ones but apparently, it did not work.

"Up," he said.

She scooped him up into her arms.

"Mommy, let's stay at home." He sucked his thumb leaning towards her neck.

"You know we can't, baby. You have to go. Don't you missed your friends?"

He looked at her, slowly sliding his thumb out of his mouth.

"Yu Bae-Li hit me."

"Is it? I thought you like her."

He shrugged.

"Is that why you don't want to go?"

"No."

"Then?"

"I want to hit her, Teacher said I can't because- I'm a boy."

"Okay."

"I don't like her."

"O- baby. Is that it?"

"No-she gives me a ppo-ppo but I don't want to so, she hit me." She chuckled.

Ah-So, this is what it's all about.

She smiled at his cuteness but she was smiling even proudly at his courage by giving a longer explanation.

He is still in his baby steps to use longer sentences using because, but and so. But, for a four-year-old- it sure melts her heart.

"If mommy gives you a ppo-ppo?" He smiled brightly and kissed her instead.

She rumpled his hair and hugged him tightly.

Then, at the baby care center, he sobbed when she gave his hand away to his caretaker.

She looked at the caretaker.

"Just go. I'll take care of him." She said with a smile on her cheery face.

She had to hold back her tears as his sobs echoed slightly in her ears on her way back to her car.

She takes off the bumper, puts it in her car. Then, she drives slightly faster while trying to hold up her own tears.

Good lord-- Among all day, why does it have to be today? Wae? And accident on top of that too?

She had worked so hard last night for her report. She even stayed up, not sleeping a wink. She's groggy, tired and annoyed. All that pent up stress was too much for her to handle.

Then-

"Yahhhhhhh--!!!"

A scream resounds and vibrates inside her small car. An angry tear invades her vision.

Calm down--Calm down--I asked for this, didn't I? This is only a minor setback. Just a minor one.

Her chest heaves as she inhales as much air as she could while swirling her car into the car park of the most prestige entertainment building in Busan-

The one and only Busan Rad Star.

Finally--

She grabs her duffle bag and a fluffy nose sneaks through. Her eyes widen as a shot of hot rush creeps to her neck making her fumbles out of her car.

"Eomma! I want teddy-boy to come with me. Please--"

"Owh--! Shoot!" She swears as she takes out her phone dialing the baby-care-center.

She fidgets as she remembers how attached her son was with his teddy bear. She knows how disastrous it was the last time he wanted his teddy-boy to accompany him.

Shoot--! Shoot--! Shoot!

She's in the middle of imagining the worst possible scenarios of how flustered and troubled his caretakers going to be when a woman answers after the fifth rings.

"Yes, this is Happy Baby Care Center."

"Ah-This is Young-Min, Hyun-Ki's eomma." She talks into the receiver breathlessly.

"Owh-Hyun-Ki's eomma. This is Jennie. What can I help you with?"

"How is he? Is he still crying? Where is he--?" She holds her breath as Jennie cuts her off.

"Calm down Hyun-Ki's eomma. He stopped after his friends tagged him along into the classroom. He's playing with them now."

"Oh--! Such a relief--! His teddy bear is with me and I had a panic attack right now. I... I"

"Ow-- Hyun-Ki's eomma. He is fine. Right now they are having their usual music-activity. He is going to be fine. Don't worry. I'll make sure he enjoys his day today, okay?"

"Okay~"

The sweet and cheerful tones of Jennie's voice really works wonders to her anxiety as she finally hangs up.

Finally, she smiles thinking that at last a good news. She sighs breathlessly.

Ting-Ting-

Her smile withdraws as she flips her phone.

So-Young.

Her eyes widen as the screen flickered and spilled their content.

And she runs-

As fast as her small feet can carry her.
