Young-Min's Point of View.
The next morning, I'm bubbling with such enthusiasm by the time I'm entering the double doors of Sun-Hee suite.
"Eonnie! It's so nice having you here again!" she exclaimed with such cherry tones that influence my mood as she hugs to greet me. "I'm so sorry about yesterday. I hope I can make it up to you today." Sun-Hee exclaims with a genuine apologetic smile.
"By the way, Jungkook'll be along later, he had some work he needs to complete," I said as I follow her to the lounge.
"Well, I need woman talk more than ever today, eonnie."
"And... I've been considering Jungkook's ideas." Sun-Hee tells her when they are seated in the scarlet and gold lounge once again. "His values make sense."
"I took a long cool look at my...my associates last night, and I realize it would be no loss to part company with most of them. As a result, I let Kwan-Yu go."
Surprised by Sun-Hee's swift actions, I sit back. "How did he take it?"
"Mmm. Not well... The news prompted him to impart what he considered to be a few home truths." A shadow crosses Sun-Hee's face.
"Was he nasty?" I shudder at the memory of his eyes.
Sun-Hee takes a ragged breath. "Yes, he is eonnie. I'm still picking up the pieces. He was... vitriolic...bitter. Well, at least now I know that I'm way better off without him."
Tucking her legs beneath her, Sun-Hee curls up in the corner of the couch. "So the first step towards changing my lifestyle has been taken. From now on the image, I'll project will be the real me." She pats her cheeks. "See... no make-up." Strip off the false eyelashes, the black lines and layers of powders, she really has a delicate beauty. Then I see a tint of lipstick on her lips and pink blush on her cheeks.
You can't fool me Sun-Hee ya.
"Wait? No makeup ~?" I whisper to her, I smile mischievously. She winks at me. "It looks natural right? It's make-up. Make-up to look like no make-up." My face must have displayed a confused one that she laughs it out. I finally smile and brush it off.
I look at Sun-Hee. With her long hair let loose, her jeans and t-shirt, she looks simply chic.
"And... I really want to tell the public that all the previous images were a result of my own innocence and stupidity." She added, "But... really, I'm a normal intelligent woman.
"Then, I may be able to help. So, mind if I start recording?" I said to her smiling. "Hit me eonnie." She said cheerfully.
"Sun-Hee ya. My real intention is to write all warts and all account of what constitutes an actress. I want to know your aspirations, your doubts, those insecurities that plague every actress, how you react to extravagant praise, how you keep sane." I look at Sun-Hee with a fierce look. I really want to help her to freshen up her image. "If it's going to work you'll have to be honest with me—I mean really honest—then in return, I can be honest with the readers."
I can see glassy eyes looking back at me. "And if, while you're with me over the next few weeks, I'm foolish, or vain, or downright bad-tempered, you'll record it?"
"Yes, readers like real people Sun-Hee."
Sun-Hee looks down at her hands interlaced on her laps and after a moment she nods. "Then, let's get on with this!"
