CHAPTER 26: SILENT TREATMENT

Author's Point of View.

At five, a nonstop ringing resounded from the door. Jungkook opened the door obviously knew who it was.

"Young-Min-ya! Yah! Welcome back to Seoul. Oo—I love that jacket you're wearing. Such improvement Young-Min-ssi. Congratulations! " Ho Seok's voice vibrated through the hall as he spotted Young-Min.

They hugged each other but it was cut short as Ho Seok saw Hyun-Ki for the first time.

"And who is this lovely girl?"

"I'm not a girl! I'm a boy!" Hyun-Ki claimed loudly as he pointed his thumb to his chest. Everyone laughed at his antics.

"I'm sorry Ho Seok-ya. Ye, he has long hair. I can't seem to send him to cut his. He'll yell blue murder whenever we plan for a haircut. Hence, the hair."

"He's handsome still. My kids will adore him." Ho Seok rumpled Hyun-Ki's hair as he squatted to his level.

"Ye, I'm handsome and I'm no girl!" Hyun-Ki said the same statement again with a thumb on his chest looking cutely irritated.

"I'm sorry. Yes, you are. I'm Ho Seok. What's your name?" Hearing that, Hyun-Ki automatically composed himself and bowed.

"Hi, my name is Hyun-Ki, uncle." Young-Min was seen smiling proudly as she witnessed their exchange.

Ho Seok looked surprised but smiled and bowed the same to him.

"Hi. Yah—You are such a good boy, Hyun-Ki." He rumpled Hyun-Ki's hair again as he said that.

"How about a high five too?" After a few seconds, Hyun-Ki beamed and gave Ho Seok his high five.

Ho Seok stood up as he turned to Jungkook.

"Everything's ready? Can we go now?"

"Ye—hyung. And a—Young-Min, you both can go first. I deal with the bags and other things." Jungkook said before Young-Min had the chance to take her bags.

Sensing the awkwardness, Young-Min took her handbag.

"O—Okay, see you in the lobby." She said as she turned to the door, smiling nervously.

The car ride was filled with 'ooh' and 'ahh' by Hyun-Ki. Young-Min was the only one who replied to Ho Seok every question.

"Are you that tired Jungkook-ah?" Ho Seok finally breaks Jungkook's silence.

"Ye, might be the jetlag bug. It's cold. I don't know hyung." Jungkook answered nonchalantly.

"Oh—Never mind, Ae-Cha will fix you later."

Young-Min cowered at the back.

She cowered because she obviously knew what caused him to act like that.

It's because of her of course.

But, she's not willing to take that guilt. No, she's not going to.

"Ah—I miss my nephew and niece. How are they?" Jungkook broke his silence once more.

"Oh—they are having their winter holiday."

"Oh—Can we stop at that shop over there, hyung? I need to buy something."

After a few minutes in the shop, we started to enjoy ourselves.

Why?

It's obviously a gift shop.

O—boy, Hyun-Ki will get crazy.
