Young-Min's Point Of View
"How about you, do you have any siblings?" Jungkook asks as he takes a bite on the Seoul's specialty meal.
"Ye. I have a twin."
"Wow! That's great. Where is he now?"
"Seoul. He owns a small cafe now." I said it as my chest puffs with pride. Being proud of Young Jae always made me teary.
I love my brother to death. He's the one who keeps my insanity intact and gets me through my stuff.
I can't hide anything from him.
A minute younger than I am but he acts as the older one and I never regret it since.
"So, you said you travel a lot. Where did you go?" Recalling his travels making me curious to know more because I never been outside of Korea other than Japan. So, it's a blessing to know someone who actually 'do the walk'.
"I've been to Japan—Brazil—Miami—LA—. I lose track, but I can say—a lot."
"Wow! I've only been to Japan. Mm—I'm a bit jealous." I smile as I finally open my meal and eat them.
"Well, being a reporter sure helps. See, we are going to Seoul for a start. Who knows you might go outside of Korea more after this assignment. You should go and explore. Knowledge gain, new friends, new experience. You'll have it all. It's fun."
Jungkook smiles as he says it as he looks at me like he believes that I can.
That's what I adore about him in the short time that I have spent with him. His words of encouragement really is a new experience that I had from the opposite sex.
"By the way, what are you doing in Japan?" He puts a kimchi in his mouth as he looks at me.
"My husband's business partner is there, so I had to."
"I love the cherry blossoms and their cultures as well. Have you manage to explore anywhere?"
"We went for the tea ritual, their famous spring areas, tasting new food. I love it," I said as I recalled the journey there.
Jungkook lets me to my thought and continues our meal.
...
" You said you do some odd jobs to get by when you're traveling. What did you do?" I give away our finished-lunch boxes to the cheery flight attendant as I look at him.
"Sometimes I do take another job like photographing and some directing,"
"What?! That's amazing Jungkook! What movie did you direct?"
"It's not a movie. Documentary to be exact and there's one incident that really bothers me until now."
"What is it?"
He turns to my direction. Looking directly at me.
"How much confidence level does it take for a woman to just be natural with no makeup at all?"
"Hm—that's a tough question. I wear makeup occasionally. Why?"
"Well, there was one time when I had to film a documentary in Brazil. So I brought these three crews along with me. A lady and two men,"
"Ok, a lady," I smirk while trying to contain my laughter.
"Hey—ye, a lady. Younger girls don't attract me much. We even share a sleeping bag" I laugh a little while assuring him to continue.
"Okay, there's one time when I asked her to go outside to record the sunset. She took too much time fixing her make-up, and when she finally comes out, it was dark. All four of us had to spend another day just to shoot the sunset scene."
"Well, she just wants to look good for you." I smile and get amused when I saw an animated Jungkook using his hands to emphasize his story.
"There should be a limit to make-up. I'm okay with them. But I get uncomfortable with a woman being like that all the time. Well, sometimes it's good to see a fresh face with no makeup at all, you know. "
"Hey—Don't complain okay. Don't you feel proud if your partner looks her best especially for you? Besides, she did share the sleeping bag with you right?"
"Not me. I get jealous. And as for the sleeping bag, she really is interested in that. I mean only that."
His chuckles make me laugh.
This is weird. Why are we talking about makeup anyways?
...
As it will take us a good couple of minutes to reach Seoul, I decide to take a nap.
Little did I know, I spend the rest of the trip sleeping— The plane ride only takes 55 minutes but, it's still embarrassing though.
"I'm so sorry, Jungkook. I guess my body betrays me." I said as I stretch out. A hoodie lays on my body.
"Thanks for this, by the way," I said as I hand it back to him.
Jungkook smiles.
"Mm—Did I snore?" I said while lowering my gaze.
"A bit. But I understand. You look tired, that's why I don't want to wake you up."
I look out the window and some familiar landmarks passed under us. I am glad to be here, in Seoul.
I really do.
...
"Wow, Hyo-Rin really booked the adjoining rooms for us." Jungkook's voice radiates behind me as I register for the hotel rooms.
"She's kidding right?" I said as I read the paper thoroughly.
"O—No, she's not." Jungkook's finger points at the tiny information on the paper.
I sigh.
"Don't worry, Young-Min-ssi, I don't bite." His voice resonates in my ears.
Ceh.
Then, there's a tap on my shoulder.
"So, dinner and a walk at 7?" He asks again.
"Okay."
O-my... heartbeats. Please... Have some dignity.
