"So...you excited for your birthday?" I thought it was a bit risky asking him about his birthday right after I've just made plans for his party.
"Yeah I suppose, you better have not planned anything big." He raised his eyebrows. Shit. My cheeks started to burn up a little.
"No, not really..." I lied. Convinced, he nodded his head and returned to watching TV.
"How are things at the studio?"
"Fine, we've got a few weeks off because I've been working my ass off and we've got the Australia trip coming up so I've got everything finished. And God, I am so tired."
I puckered my bottom lip.
"Aw is Danny tired?" I joked kissing his cheek.
"Will you ever stop making fun of me?"
"I think that's on one of my lists of things that are impossible for me to do, along with doing anything you ask." I chuckled. He blankly stared at me with his gorgeous blue eyes.
"God, I don't think I'll ever get used to those eyes of yours." I admitted while he blushed. I found it cute that everytime I complimented him he would still blush, although I would probably do the same.
"Oh so you've went from making fun of me to complimenting me now have you?" He smirked.
"You still blushed." I defended poking his cheeks which made him hide his face.
It had gotten pretty late but Dan and I didn't care, we continued to watch TV until everything electrical turned off which me jump out of my skin. Power cut.
"Holy shit that gave me the fright of my life." Dan burst out laughing. Still recovering from my mini heart attack I stood up to find something that would give us light. It was pitch black and I couldn't see a thing.
"Do we have any torches?" No reply.
"Dan?" Still no reply.
I swear to God if he's playing a joke on me I will not hesitate to hit him with the first thing I find and I will make sure it isn't a pillow.
"Dan I swear to God, just answer me." I said through my clenched teeth. I stood frozen in the middle of the living room. I placed my hand back down onto the couch to where Dan had been sitting. He wasn't there, I was starting to panic now and I couldn't lie and admit to myself that I was a little scared. Who wouldn't be? Standing alone in the dark, and there may be a possible chance that an idiotic boyfriend was on the loose. Frustrated, I felt my way over to the kitchen hoping to find a torch or even some matches, on the way I kept repeatedly bang into walls, stub my toe off the shelf and almost trip up, but I eventually made it to the kitchen. I ignored the fact that Dan was still in the apartment somewhere hiding and started to look for a source of light.
After countless minutes of searching in the dark I gave up.
"Dan? Where the hell are you?!" I shouted from the middle of the kitchen. Suddenly an evil laughter echoed around the house. How childish can he get. This was something I thought Kyle would do.
"Ooh spooky, there's a dorky, skinny, Englishman out to get me." I sarcastically said rolling my eyes at his immaturity. Creaks of floorboard could heard from my left, then soon from my right getting closer and closer, coming from behind me. A bead of sweat rolled down the side of my face. A few seconds of intense silence past I started to feel really uncomfortable like someone was going to just reach out and grab me. My vulnerability was at a high level. And just by coincidence...
"BOO!" A pair strong arms grabbed me, one arm going round my waist and one covering my mouth muffling my scream, exactly like I predicted.
If I have any more heart attacks tonight I think I might die.
"You...absolute...dick." I breathed out. Of course, Dan was in hysterics and was out of control which I just stood there with my arms folded waiting for him to calm down and then hopefully, apologise. That time wasn't coming any time soon so I took the opportunity to sneak away and hide, oh revenge was sweet. It took him a moment to realise that I was no longer standing in front of him.
"Great." He muttered to himself.
"Do you want to play hide 'n' seek then? Fine, that's no problem, but I warn you that you're gonna loose." He boasted.
"Aye right." I muttered to myself. I tiptoed my way through the apartment feeling my way through the darkness with caution while Dan, on the other hand, was stubbing his toes, tumbling over his own feet and knocking things over.
"I'm coming to get yooouuuu." He said in a sing-songy voice.
"Not as good as you think you are, Smith!" I giggled, I decided to give him a clue of my whereabouts since he was doing a terrible job.
"I'm only just getting started." He threatened. I could see his silhouette against the orange light coming from the outside street light approaching me fast and I tried to sneak away from him but I wasn't looking where I was going and rammed myself into the bookshelf causing books to fall. He eventually cornered me, then, to my disappointment it was game over.
"Caught you!"
I squealed when he picked me up over his shoulder. I squirmed but I just remained in his arms.
"Told you I was good at this." I scoffed, what a load of bullshit.
"Eh, I had to give you a clue!"
"Shut up." He complained, he knew it was the truth. He pulled down in front of him with his arm wrapped around my shoulders and my back to him. He started to furiously tickle me and automatically my legs buckled underneath me.
"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS NEED TO TICKLE ME." I shouted while laughing. Hearing my laugh must've made him laugh. Constantly he kept poking at my sides and blowing into my neck and stomach. You could say I was in a sweet torture.
"It's your only weakness." He explained after he stopped amd the laughter died down.
"You're my only weakness."
It came out before I could even think to stop myself. My actions were faster than my thoughts. Just as it couldn't get any more embarrassing for me, I had impeccable timing from the electricity as it switched back on meeting my shocked face with Dan's. Before I could do or say anything else, he stormed over to me, grabbed my face with his warm hands and dragged me into a kiss. The kiss was deep and passionate, not like one I've ever had before.
