First day

Authors note: this story is set directly after the most recent season finales, so no Gabby Dawson or Olinsky.
"Morning." Eliza said with a cheery smile as she passed all three of her brothers a cup of coffee.
"What's got you so cheery?" Jacob asked.
"I'm just excited to start work, 51s supposed to be a nice house." Eliza said with a shrug.
"Yeah." Logan Said, in between large gulps of coffee.
"I'll drop Jake off ,then you two and I'll take the car to work." Kyle thought aloud.
"Then pick us up tomorrow and we'll take the car home." Eliza added.
"Copy." Kyle said with a nod. "Come on, we need to get going."
"Yeah, we don't want to be late on the first day." Jacob agreed.

"Can I help you?" Maggie said, walking over to Jacob.
"Yeah, it's my first day and I'm not sure where I'm going." Jacob replied.
"Maggie Lockwood, I'm the charge nurse here in the ED and I'm guessing you're the new doc?" She Said.
"Yeah, Jacob Chambers." He introduced himself.
"Doctors lounge is over there to put your stuff and then come back and I'll give you a patient." Maggie instructed.
"Thanks." Jacob said walking into the lounge and seeing two doctors who seemed particularly close.
"Hey, are you new around here?" The woman said, spotting him opening his locker.
"Yeah, Jacob Chambers." He introduced himself again.
"Will Halstead and this is Natalie Manning." He introduced himself and the dark haired woman he had been stood with when he had came in.
"You put the ring on her finger?" Jacob asked Will.
"Yeah, you're observant aren't you?" He said, slightly shocked about how little time it had taken for him to work it out.
"Dr Manning, Dr Chambers, you're up!" Maggie shouted, opening the door slightly.
"Welcome to the mayhem." Will joked as they walked out.

"Finally, you might have noticed the pair of new faces," Boden began to conclude his morning speech, "let's give a warm 51 welcome to our new paramedic Eliza Chambers and the new guy on truck Logan Chambers."
"Hey, Sylvie Brett." Brett introduced herself to Eliza. "I'll be your partner in the Ambo. So are you two twins?" She asked.
"Yep, I've never worked in the same house as him before so it could get confusing." Eliza joked.
"Nice to meet you, I'm captain Casey." Casey introduced himself before walking away.
"Just give him a minute." Otis said, walking up to Logan with Kidd.
"What's up with him?" Logan asked.
"You didn't hear this from me but your sister is replacing his wife who divorced him to move to Puerto Rico." Kidd informed him.
"Oh, and she's not my sister, Els my twin." Logan Replied.
"Anyway, I'm Kidd and this is Otis." Kidd introduced.
"Brian Zvonechec." Otis corrected her.
"Not gonna try and say that Otis." Logan Said with a laugh.
"Can you and Eliza do any weird twin stuff?" Kidd asked.
"Not really." Logan Said with a laugh. "We did invent our own language when we were little that we still talk in." He added with a shrug.
"Okay.." Otis said not knowing what to say.
"So you two are twins?" Herrmann asked a few minutes later when most of the house had moved into the common room.
"Yep." Eliza said, putting the cup of coffee she had made for Logan down on the table before sitting and taking a drink from her own.
"Htunr chea." Logan Said after taking a sip.
"Ne mkezpoqu." Eliza replied.
"What was that?" Brett asked, confused.
"That was their secret language." Otis said, impressed.
"Well that's not weird." Cruz commented.
"We started it so we could talk about people with out them realising." Eliza said with a smirk.
"When did you come up with it?" Otis asked.
"Like 18 years ago." Logan answered.

"You've come at the right time." Jay joked. Kyle had been introduced to them about twenty minutes ago and they were all sat at their desks. "No cases just paper work for us and nothing for you."
"Dr Manning thinks she's found Jack Richards, he's come into the ex after falling down the stairs and is with his dad." Voight announced. "Halstead, take Chambers and full him in on the way over." He ordered.
"Who's Jack Richards?" Kyle asked.
"10 year old boy who went missing from the park about a month back, we presumed he was dead." Halstead explained.
"How we gonna do this without scaring the kiddnappers?" Kyle asked.
"Say it's protocol for kids that have fallen down the stairs?" Jay replied as they pulled into the hospital car park.
"Jay." Nat Said as she met him at the entrance. "Am I seeing double?" She said looking at Kyle.
"What do you mean?" Jay asked, a smile appearing on Kyles face as Jacob came out of the young boys room.
"Hey." Jacob said.
"Okay.." Jay said, not sure what to say.
"Looks like we've got two more victims of the Chambers effect." Kyle joked. "Jay this is my brother Jacob."
"And Nat this is Kyle." Jacob added.
"Is there anymore of you we need to know about?" Jay asked.
"There's the twins." Kyle said with a shrug.
"Okay, let's get on with this." Nat Said, still in shock. "Mr Williamson, these are detectives Halstead and Chambers." She introduced.
"How may I help you detectives?" He asked, suddenly very on edge.
"Don't worry sir it's just protocol for any kids that fall down the stairs as it's a very common excuse used to hide child abuse." Jay explained.
"But I'm sure that's not what's going on here." Kyle said.
"Right." He Replied, "I hate to tell you but you've had a wasted journey." Kyle glanced over and his eyes locked with the boys that were filled with panic.
"Sorry for disturbing you." Jay apologised before turning to leave. The next second seemed to happen in slow motion as Mr Williamson got up, grabbed Kyles gun from its holder and held it to the detectives head.
